Assalam Alaikum Warahmatullah Wabarrakatuhu. I have a very difficult task of announcing the Postponement of the Atfal/ Nasrat Ijtema which we had scheduled to hold at the Queen Elizabeth College Ilorin, Kwara between the 17th and 24th August, 2014. The decision to postpone the program was taken because of the advice from the Federal Government of Nigeria that religious programmes and other programmes that will involve the participation of more than 500 participants should be postponed in order to effectively control the spread of the deadly Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) which is spreading in the country at an alarm-ing rate. It is very important to note that the leadership of the Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya and Lajna Imaillah Nigeria had to take the painful decision, in order to support the efforts of the Govern-ment to curtail the spread of the deadly virus. In taking the decision, we also took cognizance of the fact that the programme is a children's programme and it would be extremely difficult to make the Kids adhere to all the basic hygiene rules required to ensure effective protection from the disease, especially when they are in a group. The leadership of the Majlis Khuddam and Lajna Imaillah acknowledge the tremendous efforts that had been invested by the organizers of the event, especially our hosts, the Jama'at and other members in Ilorin. We however believe that it is only Allah the Almighty that can adequately reward all our efforts in His course. However, we will like to state that the program will Insha Allahu be held in Ilorin Kwara State whenever it will hold. We also solicit for continuous prayers from all members of the Ahmadiyya Community for our dear nation in this very trying period. Long live Ahmadiyya Muslim Community! Long live Nigeria!! THE TAHRIK-E-JADID YEAR 2014

Al-Irfan News Bulletin, Vol. 1 Issue No 4 | SEPTEMBER 2014

Dear All, Asalam Alaekum Waramotullah Wabarakatuh. The blessed scheme of Tahrik-e-Jadid was launched by Hazrat Khalifat Mash II (RA) in 1934 to facilitate propagation of the message of AHMADIY-YA throughout the world. For almost 80 years, funds collected through Tahrik-e-Jadid have enabled missions in over 200 countries to be built, helped fledgling branches to build mosques, published translations of the Holy Qur'an and the writings of the Promised Messiah (AS) and supported many Waqfeen- Zibdagi (live

devotees) abroad to spread the teachings of Islam and Ahmadiyya. In the just con-cluded Jalsa Salana UK 2014, Huzur (ATBA) listed some of the achievements of the Jama'at worldwide through this divine scheme. With nearly two months to the end of Tah-rik-e-Jadid year for 2014, Sadr Sahib has directed that we should remind all mem-bers of MKAN to be part of this blessed scheme; and that we should all pay up our promises and also encourage our family members to do the same, as soon as pos-sible. NO AMOUNT IS TOO SMALL!!! Please let's spread this information among MKAN members and our households. May Allah make it easy for all of us to be benefi-ciaries of its blessings, ameen.

The project was conceived when the MKAN Sadr sahib gave a directive about three years ago; that all ilaqat should have offices. After the complexion of Kaduna cen-tral mosque renovation, the Kaduna Ilaqa made a request through the
