Dear Parents,
I wanted to take this opportunity to share some important information which affects those
students who are presently in the Aitchison preparatory programs. We were officially
informed last week that Aitchison had changed its age guidelines for admission to all grade
levels in the manner illustrated in the table below:
Childs Date of Birth Eligible for K2 (Grade II)Test in
1stJune, 2010 31stMay,2011 Yr 2017
1stJune, 2011 31stMay,2012 Yr 2018
1stJune, 2012 31stMay,2013 Yr 2019
1stJune, 2013 31stMay,2014 Yr 2020
1stJune, 2014 31stMay,2015 Yr 2021
In response to the above requirements we too have aligned our Enrollment and Student
Progression Policy as follows:
If your child is presently studying in Nursery/Pre-K and his date of birth falls between 1stJune,
2012 31stMay, 2013, he will progress to the Advance Nursery program in September, 2016
and will be promoted to Kindergarten in September 2017.
Similarly, if your child is presently studying in Kindergarten and his date of birth falls between
1stJune, 2011 31stMay, 2012, he will progress to Advance Kindergarten in September, 2016
and will be promoted to Grade 1 in September 2017.
Finally if you child is presently studying in Grade 1 and is born on or after 1 stJune, 2010 i.e.
he is not eligible to apply for K2 this year, he will progress to Advance Grade 1 in September,
2016 and will be eligible to apply to K2 in 2017.
We at Kids Kampus applaud this decision taken by Aitchisons new Principal as historically we
were always concerned that a large percentage of our students were too young at the timethey appeared for the Aitchison entrance test. We feel that the revised age guidelines are
more conducive for the smoother academic development and personal growth of our
students and they should now be better suited to their age appropriate learning environment.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any concerns.
Thank you,
Principal
