Specialty Louvers

Special Shapes

Airline louvers can provide far more than the mere passage of air. They complement and accentuate architectural features, such as arches and angled roof lines. Airline offers circular, semicircular, triangular, and other geometrically shaped louvers.

Brick Vents

Airline brick vents are an economical option for ventilation in crawl spaces, foundations, and corridors. They can be used in new and existing structures where a conventional louver would not be used.

Brick vents are constructed of .125 extruded aluminum (also available in cast aluminum) with

a standard clear anodized finish. Non-standard finishes of bronze anodized, baked enamel, and Kynar are also available. Airline can provide ducts and/or dampers along with brick vents.

In-Door Louvers

Airline door louvers feature a wide variety of sizes and blade configurations to meet your specific requirements for sight-proof, fixed, adjustable blade, or steel/wood door applications. Airline door louvers are also available in a variety of colors, finishes, frames, and material options.

Thin-Line Louvers

Airline thin-line louvers are commonly used with air conditioners (P.T.A.C. units) or for decorative architectural applications. These louvers provide high free area with limited weather protection. Thin-line louvers are available in a variety of colors, finishes, and frame options. They are fabricated from extruded aluminum for durability and easy handling. Airline louvers can be designed in a variety of configurations.

The ratings shown are based on tests and procedures performed in accordance with AMCA Publication 511 and comply with the requirements of AMCA Certified Ratings Program. The AMCA Certified Ratings Seal applies to air performance ratings and water penetration ratings only.

Louver Options

Flange Frames: All Airline louvers come standard with a channel frame. If you need a flange frame for surface mounting, please specify.

Blank-Off Panels: Airline provides color-matched aluminum blank-off panels to cover unused portions of the louver at an additional cost. Backing panels can be of single sheet or insulated construction.

Screens: Airline offers a complete line of screens to prevent entry of birds and insects.

Concealed Mullions: Airline provides a continuous blade appearance for multiple sectioned louvers. Our design incorporates individual blade supports to eliminate louver blade waving. Rear mounted supports offer stability and ease of installation. Not recommended with drainable blade applications.

Extended Sills: Aluminum or steel sill extensions are used to accommodate unusual opening conditions and aid in weather protection. Sill extensions are available at an additional cost.

Material & Finish Options

Aluminum: Provides maximum corrosion resistance.

Aluminum Finish Options:

• Mill Finish – most economical

• Prime Coat – zinc chromate primer preparation for field painting

• Baked Enamel – superior finish for aluminum

• Clear Anodized – clear oxide coating

• Bronze Anodized – electrostatically deposited coating

• Kynar 500 – ultimate two coat finish for aluminum

• Trinar 500 with top coat – premium industry finish

Steel: Zinc coated.

Steel Finish Options:

• Mill Finish – most economical

• Paint Grip – zinc coated steel (no extra cost)

• Prime Coat – primer coat preparation for field painting

• Baked Enamel – superior finish for steel
