AIRC AWARDS

"Safety First". The word is still our motto and applied to all working activities in our company. Allemployees, nationals, expatriates and contractors must be concerned about their safety in every place,activities and every level of hierarchy. We can say that in TOTAL E&P INDONESIE, safety iseverybody’s business and must be considered as the first thing to be thought of in our daily activities.

Any situation or act which has the potential to cause an accident (anomaly) and any event or a chain of events which has causedand could have caused any or all of the following consequences: injury or fatality, damage to the environment, material /production loss, loss of image (incident) must be avoided.

In order to develop safety culture and to motivate all employees and contractors to producediligent, clear, accurate and good quality anomaly and incident reports, the management launchedthe Anomaly and Incident Report Competition (AIRC) through NDD 01/DG/2004. This initiativeis meant to motivate employees to give their attention to safety matters and is also a part ofmanagement commitment to uphold safety and promote safety culture among all employees andcontractors working in TOTAL E&P INDONESIE area. The winners of the Award is planned tobe nominateed on a monthly basis.

On Friday, 06 February 2004, DK himself accompanied by DSE and DKA/COM presented theAIRC Awards for the month of January to the 2 winners selected from BSP & CPA while DKP –on another occasion- presented the AIRC to the winner from NPU .

The 3 winners were Achmad Diansyukma from BSP Chandra S. Sitorus from CPA and Kusnadifrom NPU. Beside the recognition letter, they also received prizes paid in cash.

DK & DSE also took the opportunity of theis visit to discuss about safety matters, stressingManagement’s commitment to safety.
