29nd August 2017 Newsletter 26 Dear Parents/Caregivers Tēnā koutou, tēnā koutou, tēnā koutou katoa Our wonderful school environment! Check out the brilliant artwork which has been started on the concrete wall by the new playground. And the amazing elephant by the assembly area! Ms Gunnell and her GATE art group are fantasc! Our school grounds look great too – thanks to the hard work from Mr O’Sullivan, and now our new caretaker Mr Roycroſt, who earned the “Cool Kiwi” award at assembly for his outstanding first week on the job! Well done everyone for all you are doing to make our school look incredible! School Review: 2017 Our Strategic Planning We have chosen these four priority goals to drive posive change within the school. We are currently focused on fulfilling these within the next three years. ‘Our Strategic Goals’ Goal 1: Strengthen the effecveness of the Coatesville School learning model for our staff and students to support learning outcomes Goal 2: Strengthen the Informaon & Communicaons Technology (ICT) capability of our staff and students to support learning outcomes Goal 3: Strengthen the effecve communicaon of school informaon to support student learning outcomes Goal 4: Enhance school teaching & learning facilies to support student learning outcomes “Aim! Each goal includes five areas of focus – to help measure our progress and achievement. The five areas are: - Learning Programmes - Professional Learning & Development - Documentation - Communication - Self-review

Please register now it will only take a moment – click here online registration form. Thank you Touch Rugby 2017 It’s that time of year again! Touch Rugby will kick off in the first week of Term 4. The competition is held on the North Shore and is open to Years 1-6. If you would like to find out more and register your child, please go to the Touch Rugby page on our website. Amelia Macnab

Gotcha Draw & Band Recipients Thanks once again to Nicky White of Precision Real Estate for making our Gotcha Draw possible with your contribution of vouchers each fortnight. This week we had our Gotcha winners and also two students earning Competency Bands, check out the deserving students in the blog post here

Wool Please! The juniors would like to do an Agricultural based activity using wool. If you have spare wool looking for a good home, would you please send it to Room 6 for collection.

Personalised Kids Art Officially the date for the returns of orders was last Friday but in order to make sure everyone has theirs in we are extending the date to this Friday. Please make sure your order and payment are made by Friday 1St September
