From Our Messianic Leader…..
Completed
Gentiles
It seems today that
believers are praying
and fasting for a Reviv-
al of the church. Our hearts are cry-
ing out for a brand of Christianity the
apostles knew, A Christianity with the
power to heal the sick, win the lost
and set the captives free.
Over the last few centuries as believ-
ers have prayed and sought the Lord,
Adonai has graciously restored much
of what the early church has lost. Sad-
ly, however, the church remains very
different from the churches the apos-
tles established and built.
I believe that the church will never be
fully restored until we see Christianity in its Jewish setting or context as the
New Testament church did. The atti-
tudes, truths and practices natural in
the Jewish roots of religion. These
things were given by Adonai for our
benefit. They where designed by Him
to give us a better understanding of
our relationship with Him.
Anyone who has studied the Bible
knows that we cannot understand the
New Covenant apart from the Old
Covenant. When John the Baptist an-
nounced “Behold the Lamb of God”
he was speaking of the Hebrew sacri-
ficial system. We cannot understand
John’s statement or truly the work of
Yeshua apart from the Hebrew Bible.
We also can’t fully understand the
events in Acts 2 without the works of
the Ruach HaKodesh described in
Numbers 11 and Joel 2.
As we continue to learn more and
more about the Jewish roots of our
faith, we find passage after passage
coming into clearer focus with long
significance revealed. Passages that
made very little sense and then sud-
denly spring off the pages to life. We
gain a deeper understanding of our Covenant right and how Adonai the
creator of the universe desires to
relate to us.
Jews that have come to know and
accept Yeshua as their Lord and Sav-
ior are often called “completed”
Jews. That’s a very good description,
but I also believe that when a Gentile
Believer comes to know the Jewish
roots of their faith, they become a
”completed” Gentile!
Not only is YESHUA the Savior of
the world, but the Messiah of Israel
and our Messiah too. By His grace,
we have been made fellow heirs in
the commonwealth. The more we
know and learn of the heritage the
richer and more complete we will be.

Our hearts cry is to reach a lost and oppressed people with education, relationship, and
prayer through the truth and liberty of Jesus Christ. Our ministry is teaching the redeem-
ing power of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Our mission is to see ISHMAEL RE-
DEEMED.
Prayer is the very foundation of our ministry. Kamal and Victoria believe most failures are a
PRAYER FAILURE. Our mission is:
• To wake up, educate, and train the Christian and Jewish communities on the impending
dangers of radical Islam.
• To reach the Muslims with the redemptive message of Christ.
• To teach the Church “relationship evangelism” in order to reach Muslims with the truth.

MINISTRY UPDATES
Davidic Dance Ministry
Beginning dance steps are offered after Oneg on the first and second Sabbaths of the
month at 1:15 for 30 minutes. The Shabbat Medley dance will be taught during this time.
All who learn it can then participate in the Shabbat Medley dance to bring in the Sabbath
Service.
Is. 52:7 "How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of the messenger of good tidings, that announc-
es peace and announces salvation, that says unto Zion: "Your Elohim reigns!" Davidic Dance at Ahava is worshiping Adonai with sacred reverence to Him. Therefore, there must be
order and understanding when we worship through dance. Seasoned worship dancers may join the Da-
vidic Dance circle after speaking to Daniele and Julia, our dance leaders, and demonstrating basic core
steps. Appropriate dance attire is skirts and dresses below the knee, and tops should be covered shoul-
ders, no tank tops or camisoles.... nothing see through. Our focus is to please Elohim and not man. The Hora Dance is for everyone and we encourage all to participate and celebrate in this dance. The
dance for “He Shall Reign” is for everyone as well! Thank you for your understanding and we ask that you pray that Elohim be exalted
through the dance ministry as it is a powerful weapon against the enemy.
Contact the Office at Ahava B’Shem Yeshua (928.443.5988) if you have any questions.
Ahava Children’s Ministry The sign up sheet for February is back in the classroom/nursery area on the wall. We are encouraging
parents of those who utilize this ministry to consider volunteering to assist once a month, or every 6
weeks. Teachers and helpers can sign themselves up for dates that work for them. It will cover 2
months at a time. Teachers will be planning their own lessons, and helpers as usual will assist the teach-
er. In the storage room in the back of the sanctuary, there is a curriculum box for books and lessons,
or you can use resources that you have. More teachers are needed. There should be a minimum of
one adult in the back (18 or over) but preferably 2 adults should sign up at a time. Please talk to Dee
Rodriguez if you would like to serve as a teacher for the first time, or if you would be willing to serve as
the new Shabbat School leader.
For those who sign up for Shabbat School, on the Sabbath you are in the classroom, please let
the people serving in the sound booth know and they can make you a copy of the message.

MESSIANIC 101 PURIM
March 21, 2019, Thursday (Adar II 14, 5779)
Special Service, Shabbat March 16, 2019
Esther 9:22 as the days when the Jews got relief from their enemies, and as the month when their sorrow was
turned into joy and their mourning into celebration. These were to be days of feasting, celebration and send-
ing presents of food to one another and giving gifts to the poor (TLV).
Purim means "lots" and refers to the lottery that Haman used to choose the date for the massacre. During Purim
we commemorate the deliverance of the Jewish people in ancient Persia, from the wicked Haman. During this
time we hear the reading of the book of Esther. The book of Esther is commonly known as the Megillah, which
means scroll. Although there are five books of the Holy Bible that are properly referred to as megillahs (Esther,
Ruth, Ecclesiastes, Song of Songs, and Lamentations), this is the one people usually mean when they speak of The
Megillah. In addition to reading the book of Esther during Purim, there are other traditions that help mark this
festive occasion.
1) Festive and Fun Filled Service
Children (and adults) are encouraged to wear costumes. Many choose to dress up as
Esther or Mordechai. Others choose to wear costumes of Haman, Vashti or King Ahas-
uerus. During the reading of Esther, it is a tradition to make noise, booing sounds, and
stamping our feet whenever the name of “Haman” is read. When the name of
“Mordechai” is read, the crowd cheers and shouts. When we hear the name of “Esther”
the crowd sighs and says “Ahhh”. It is a fun filled time for all with audience participation
expected.
2) Gifts
During the time of Purim it is customary to give gifts of food to others. This is consid-
ered a mitzvah. A common treat at this time of year is hamentaschen (lit. Haman's pock-
ets). These triangular fruit-filled cookies are supposed to represent Haman's three-
cornered hat.
3) Charity to the Poor
To express our appreciation of Adonai’s divine deliverance and provision on Purim
it is customary to give gifts to the poor, or charity (tzedakah).
4) Festive Purim Meal
It is customary to eat a joyous, festive meal consisting of a oversized challah with
raisins and of course Hamantaschen!
Purim reminds us that even when we do not see ADONAI’s presence, He is nevertheless there. ADONAI is
faithfully behind the scenes directing our lives, guiding us, preparing us and delivering us, in ways we cannot fath-
om. Use this joyous time to celebrate G-d’s unfailing love for not only His Jewish people, but for all who love
Him and call upon His name.
