From Our Messianic Leader…..
Our Freedom With
Salvation
Adonai gave us His
commandments in Torah to reveal
His standard for holiness. There was
one exception – Yeshua. Most of us
are use to working for a reward. We
get paid from our job and we might
even get a bonus if we over achieve
or exceed our expectations. So, it is
kind of understandable why some
people assume salvation depends on
works. But thankfully, that is not the
case.
With Yeshua being the only excep-
tion, no one has ever obeyed them
perfectly. James 2:10 says” 10 For a person who keeps the whole Torah, yet stumbles at one point, has become guilty of breaking them all. So, just
think one bad thought, one unkind
word or just one dishonoring action is
all that it takes to be a law breaker according to God’s commandments.
In other words, If Salvation depends
on our lack of self-righteousness, no-
body can be saved. Adonai’s laws
weren’t intended to save us, but they
were intended to show us our weak-
ness and direct us to Yeshua.
Galatians 3:24 says; 24 Therefore the Law has be-come our tutor to lead us to Christ, so that we may be jus-tified by faith.
Adonai knew that our own strength
was not enough to help us keep His
law. Yet out of His merciful grace,
He sent His beloved Son Yeshua to
take the penalty we deserved for our
wrong doing – DEATH. Romans 6:23 3 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Yeshua bore
our iniquities, died and rose from the
grave. By doing this He conquered
sin, so we could all be FREE.
Yeshua HaMashiach’s death and res-
urrection broke the bonds of sin.
Are WE living in the freedom that
His blood made possible? We can do
nothing to reconcile or resolve our-
selves to Adonai. Our ONLY
HOPE is to accept His free gift of
the sacrifice Yeshua made on our
behalf. By surrendering our life to
Him we find genuine freedom.

MINISTRY UPDATES
Davidic Dance Ministry
Beginning dance steps are offered after Oneg on the first and second Sabbaths of the
month at 1:15 for 30 minutes. The Shabbat Medley dance will be taught during this time.
All who learn it can then participate in the Shabbat Medley dance to bring in the Sabbath
Service.
Is. 52:7 "How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of the messenger of good tidings, that announc-
es peace and announces salvation, that says unto Zion: "Your Elohim reigns!" Davidic Dance at Ahava is worshiping Adonai with sacred reverence to Him. Therefore, there must be
order and understanding when we worship through dance. Seasoned worship dancers may join the Da-
vidic Dance circle after speaking to Daniele and Julia, our dance leaders, and demonstrating basic core
steps. Appropriate dance attire is skirts and dresses below the knee, and tops should be covered shoul-
ders, no tank tops or camisoles.... nothing see through. Our focus is to please Elohim and not man. The Hora Dance is for everyone and we encourage all to participate and celebrate in this dance. The
dance for “He Shall Reign” is for everyone as well! Thank you for your understanding and we ask that you pray that Elohim be exalted
through the dance ministry as it is a powerful weapon against the enemy.
Contact the Office at Ahava B’Shem Yeshua (928.443.5988) if you have any questions.
Ahava Children’s Ministry The sign up sheet for January is back in the classroom/nursery area on the wall. Teachers and helpers
can sign themselves up for dates that work for them. It will cover 2 months at a time. Teachers will be
planning their own lessons, and helpers as usual will assist the teacher. In the storage room in the back
of the sanctuary, there is a curriculum box for books and lessons, or you can use resources that you
have. More teachers are needed. There should be a minimum of one adult in the back (18 or over)
but preferably 2 adults should sign up at a time. Please talk to Dee Rodriguez if you would like to serve
as a teacher for the first time, or if you would be willing to serve as the new Shabbat School leader.
For those who sign up for Shabbat School, on the Sabbath you are in the classroom, please let
the people serving in the sound booth know and they can make you a copy of the message.

MESSIANIC 101
MEZUZAH
Deuteronomy 6:9 and write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. (TLV)
Deuteronomy 11:20-21 You are to write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates, so that your
days and the days of your children may be multiplied on the land ADONAI swore to give your fathers, as long
as the heavens are above the earth. (TLV)
The word mezuzah (from the Hebrew word doorpost) technically refers to the scroll (kalf) within the case, but has come to represent both the case and the scroll inside. On the scroll is inscribed the Shema, from Deuteronomy 6:4-9, and 11:13-21. On the reverse side of the scroll is written one of the names of G-d, Shaddai. The Hebrew letters of Shaddai are shin, dalet and yod. These letters are an acro-nym for shomer doltot Yisrael, or the Guardian of the doors of Israel. The begin-ning letter of this name of G-d is a shin, so the mezuzah case is decorated with the letter shin.
The mezuzah is placed on the right side of the door, on the top third of the doorway. The mezuzah should be right side up and slanted so that the top of the mezuzah faces in-wards toward the room. Think of the mezuzah pouring out the blessing of ADONAI into our rooms, and our homes. You should hang a mezuzah on every doorway that belongs to you, with the exception of bathrooms and closets. The mezuzah should be affixed to the doorposts as soon as moving in to a new place, or at least within thirty days. The
blessing for affixing a mezuzah to the doorpost is as follows:
Blessed are You, Lord our G-d, Ruler of the universe, who has sanctified us with His commandments and commanded us to affix a mezuzah.
Baruch ata ADONAI Eloheinue melekh ha-olam, asher kiddeshanu be-mitzvotav ve-tzivvanu likboa mezuzah.
After reciting the blessings we answer “Amen.” We then attach the mezuzah to the doorpost.
The mezuzah serves two purposes. It is a reminder that we serve the Living G-d, and that our households fall under His guidance and protection. It also is a testi-mony to the world that this household adheres to a higher standard than society, the Torah. As we enter into our dwelling places we glance at the mezuzah, touch it with our finger tips and some then kiss their fingertips. This is to remind us that HaShem is always with us, whether we are in our homes our not, and that His word is on our lips. It should be a constant remind of how we should act as we enter our homes and as we leave and enter into society.
