What About Change?

In the AHA imagery program, chapter one, in working with the client, there isa reminder to the facilitator that the life the client has, is the life that theirsubconscious believes in. This is true for everyone.

The life we have is the life our subconscious believes in!

So, if we want something different, more, or better to be happening in our life –something with long lasting results – we probably need to make some changesin our subconscious beliefs.

Now, often, not always, but often, when the subconscious becomes aware ofthe word change – or the words, changing the belief system – interestingresponses could initially happen. A variety of emotions may begin to surface anda slow down may occur in terms of moving forward – perhaps, even a feelingof being stopped, stuck, or blocked.

The good news is – feelings are not permanent. They come and they go.Through hypnotic imagery experiences, embarking upon smaller steps towardthe goal, we can become more comfortable with going into the new – getpassed the stopped-stuck-blocked – become more comfortable with creatingpositive changes – which turn into new beliefs that become more known to us –then, those new beliefs become the new normal – then the normal – and then,actually, like just sort of not even thought about that much anymore becausethey are automatically in effect. That’s it! Moving forward – from a consciousdesire into a subconscious belief.

As you see and feel your outer world – your life – changing, you’ll know thatnew beliefs are in operation. As part of this process, using the metaphysicalLaw of Attraction is so beneficial – but, remember, that is a conscious focusing.We still need to put it into the subconscious mind where the metaphysical Lawof Belief and Law of Positive Expectation are evoked. Law of Belief and Law ofPositive Expectation are the two most important metaphysical laws becausethey are subconscious metaphysical laws.

Moving in the Direction of Success!

We know how important suggestibility is from Dr. Kappas – and how wordsmean different things to different people. Isn’t it interesting how that one word,success, can often seem so loaded with so much? Not only does success havedifferent meanings to different people, but also, it is the kind of word that oftenprovokes fear – fear of having it or fear of not.

What if we just approach this idea of success as – in the direction of it – andwhatever the meaning of success is on an individual basis – the pressure is offbecause we are simply moving in the direction of it – and moving in thedirection of it equals taking a step here or there and then sometimes withouteven noticing it, we are into action – going forward – headed down the path.

The pressure is off – because there is no big declaration to fight against, thereis no big statement to overcome – there is no big anything to say no about. Itis just, actually, a simple choosing to take a step – and then perhaps anotherone – and maybe even another one – and that then becomes action. Then beingin action becomes moving forward – and really when you think about – maybemoving forward IS success. It is certainly Kappasinian – for the Kappasinianway is about experiencing relief and moving forward.

And how do we do that? How do we help others do that? Why, with hypnosisand imagery, of course. We know that just saying, thinking, or talking about allof this doesn’t do it. Well, it can help get the focus clear for the conscious mind –but that’s only the 12%. We need that bigger hunk – the 88% to come alongon the journey and participate with belief, as well.

So imagining and visualizing in the hypnotic state that we are taking a step –then another one – and perhaps another – the journey is then happening – theinner landscape is participating without letting any convoluted meanings aboutsuccess clutter the path – because the steps are becoming a way and the wayis becoming believed. And so it goes – moving in the direction of success – intoaction – moving forward – until at some point the harmony of conscious andsubconscious understand about success in a positive way!

Imagination And The Subconscious

The power of your imagination is enormous. Used in a positive way, it becomesthe canvas on which you paint to actualize your dreams come true. Once theability is acquired to picture, imagine, sense in any way, or even feel your goals,dreams, and ambitions in the mind, four elements are necessary to generate thepower to bring them into realization.

DESIRE – The want must be real and deep and permanent.

BELIEF – It is important to believe that the desired achievement is possible, do-able.

EXPECTATION – It is vital to expect success, considering it a foregoneconclusion.

DEMAND – The final requirement is self-demand, a personal requirement thatthose things necessary to success will be accomplished.

These four elements must be present in both the conscious and subconscious.An effective way to build a bridge between your conscious and subconscious,is with an altered state. Through a few minutes each day of Self Imagery or SelfHypnosis, you can help the conscious and subconscious get going in the sameSuccess Direction toward achieving your goals. Making the subconsciousconnection is a powerful tool! Impressing new positive images upon thesubconscious each day – images that encourage new positive actions andemotions – can create a fertile ground for bearing the fruit you desire. Bybuilding up the subconscious with positives – you can, in effect, override theold negatives – and be well on the way toward achieving your goals.

Ten Steps To Goal Setting

1. On a scale from 1 to 10 – how big is your desire?10 equals you want it big time!

2. Do you believe you can reach this goal?

3. Have you started brainstorming? Have you written your goal on paper?

4. Why is this goal important to you?

5. Where are you starting from right now?

6. What is the deadline?

7. What do you think could be an obstacle you must climb over?

8. What other information do you need in order to accomplish your goal?

9. Who else do you have lined up to help you – support you and back you?

10. Have you written a Master Goal Plan? It’s based on answering the abovenine questions! Before the end of January, how about writing a detailedplan of what you will do each and every day with each of your goals?

Law Of Abundance!Let’s Get Into The Flow

If our outer experience of life and living seems fraught with financial struggle,if we seem to fear not having enough, or we just seem to not be able to makeends meet – we are probably not in the flow.

Along with this can come irritability, anger, frustration – or did that occur first?Are we frequently experiencing bad moods, tiredness, low energy? Well, then,we are probably not in the flow.

Even in other areas like love and romance where we just can’t seem to findanyone, they always leave, it never works out – we are probably not in theflow.

The metaphysical Law of Abundance tells us: All is always unlimited. Gettingto that, however, means, we must be in the flow. Being in the flow means weare open, saying yes more often, happy, free, connected to some sort of highersomething – we are definitely NOT caught up in the swirl of negative emotion.And, if we are, or our outer life isn’t what we want, probably somewherewithin, there must be a limited belief alive and well.

Here are just a few examples of limited beliefs: You can’t always get what youwant. Money doesn’t grow on trees, you know. What makes you think you cando that? They have money to burn, we don’t. You’re just not good enough.You’ll never make anything of yourself if you do what you love. Money is theroot of all evil. They are filthy rich, be glad you are not. The meek shall inheritthe earth, the rich are always out for themselves. Most people are not lucky inlove. Find someone who will take care of you.

To experience the Law of Abundance and be in the flow – we must come tobelieve in the deeper mind, the subconscious, that there is no limitation. So getto a hypnotherapist, get into hypnosis, and move your mind around! Unplugfrom these debilitating old beliefs and plug into the more expansive ways offeeling and believing – let your subconscious soar – start imagining your lifewithout limitation!

Law Of Cause And Effect

While there are many ways in which we can apply the Metaphysical Law ofCause and Effect, which briefly stated, is that every action has a correspondingreaction, the power of this law definitely comes to life when we understand itsuse in our practice of hypnotherapy. It is an essential ingredient for success. Itis the law upon which Dr. Kappas based his whole premise of The Mental Bank.

Dr. Kappas said that by doing the Mental Bank, we are making a causation towhich a definite effect will occur. We are using the magic half hour before sleepat night, that potent cosmic mix of conscious and subconscious mind material,to create a positive cause that brings about a positive effect. By writing aboutthe idea during the in between time space reality experience, we are sending amessage to the deeper mind which heightens belief for that idea to becomemade manifest.

In your practice, you make a cause – create an action with words. You sendsuggestions and images to the client based on their conscious desires. Withtheir open availability to receive while in the hypnotic state, these suggestionsand images are impressed upon their subconscious mind. That impression is thefoundation of the effect that they want to experience in their life. Sooner thanlater, from the cause made, clients have an effect – a corresponding reaction –with their life changing positively.

And, if we look at the first most important action that you take, being yourthought, then we know there will be a corresponding reaction, or thing createdby that thought. So, can we be more diligent with how we are thinking?Absolutely! As Dr. Kappas said, “A positive focusing, creates positive results!”

The Mental Bank Created By John Kappas

The Mental Bank is a re-scripting process that activates the subconscious mindto respond in a new positive way. Since the subconscious works on expectationand imagination and does not know the difference between fantasy and reality,doing the Mental Bank helps to write a new script for the subconscious tofollow. Here are the key points:

! You will write a new contract.

! Mental Bank Goal is your Double Figure. Mental Bank Balance is your 4Xfigure. Hourly figure is a tenth of your Double Figure. Example:$100,000/$400,000/$100.

! You must have a goal – 1 to 3 goals.

Power Up The Hour!The 20-20-20! And, The 30-30!

“The brain loves numbers,” said Dr. Kappas. So let’s use that – let’s do the 20-20-20 or the 30-30!

Say you have an hour to focus with – but you have so many projects that needyour attention – you are not sure where to turn first. Let’s break the hour downand power it up into smaller chunks. Use the 20-20-20 approach. Take the topthree projects and determine to devote a 20 minute segment to each. Set atimer and do the 1-2-3 – you will be amazed at what you will haveaccomplished in this powerful hour of concentration. By attending to threedifferent projects in shorter periods of time, your concentration for eachincreases, and you have powered up the hour in the direction of success!

Now, the 30-30, is taking the power hour and giving it a 1-2 – by dividing itinto two powerful half hours. A half hour for this and a half hour for that. Again,sometimes the thought is: I just don’t have enough time to do both of thesethings – but then your hour appears. You may be torn as to which project tospend the hour on – divide it and conquer! Again – so it is that without anything in the way of it – nothing really can stopthat flow even if tried – for once it is realized as an always and forever –stopping the flow cannot be – so the only way is to be allowing of it –

Being allowing of it then lifts the life condition – for then without disturbancesof the mind – and with being able to ford rough seas no matter what – withunderstanding that some effort happens to clear a path through the brush –there then becomes that availability – the capability of the new and to becomeso very comfortable with that – like just another peaceful quiet night at homenear the firelight –

Imagine taking this stance at the top of symbolic staircase – taking the stancethat the flow is all around and all through and that freedom is right here andright now as part of that magnificence –

Fear Of Success And Fear Of Failure

Dr. Kappas gives good clarity about these two fears in his book Success is notan Accident on page 215 when he answers a question about them.

Fear of Success and Fear of Failure are not the same. They are different. Tosimplify, Kappas explains that we won’t go toward something we fear. So, inthe case of Fear of Success – if we don’t do anything, put off, put off and putoff – never even try – no worries, we will not have success.

However – if the Fear is of Failure – well, we won’t go toward that either. Infact we run in the opposite direction – we probably become workaholic andsucceed, succeed, and succeed – even to the exclusion of everything else in life –which can be debilitating for relationships, family, and even self-care.

What can we do about these two fears? For Fear of Success, hypnotically, let’sget more comfortable and relaxed about success – imagining and visualizingabout success in a different way – making friends with it in the altered state.Step by step, by changing it up, we can begin to go toward success – in thedirection of success – into action and then move forward.

30 Second Affirmation Focus!

Maybe it’s a venting dream hangover, or perhaps we just got out of the wrongside of the bed, or could be, it’s just still that feeling of be whacked around bywhat happened yesterday – whatever – we woke up in a cranky way to startthe day. Ahhh, the perfect time for an Affirmation Focus!

Simply set a timer for 30 seconds – pick out the best affirmation you’ve got toshift you up and out of the doldrums – look at it – close your eyes – take threedeep breaths – come to a comfort – start the timer – open your eyes and readthe affirmation – close your eyes – and repeat the affirmation over and over inyour mind until the timer goes off.

In exactly one hour – repeat this process. After the second affirmation focus,there will be an awareness of feeling better – and in exactly one more hour,repeat this process for the third time. After the third repetition of the 30 secondaffirmation focus – a definite shift will have happened and a feeling of wellbeing occurs. If you began this process at 7am – by 9am – you are in a muchbetter way to start your day!
