User manual Applications and Features

› 17’’ Full HD TFT Active Matrix display

› Retractable monitor with electrical engine and tilting screen

› Up/Down/Tilt function operated by one touch control sensor placed on the top of the screen

› Down/Tilt function operated by one touch control sensor placed on the glass frame

› Up/down for external contact close (GPI) or RS422 control

› Low power consumption

› Low radiation

› Quick response time

› HDMI (below the monitor) and HDMI (retractable cable) data inputs. HDCP compliant

› DynamicShare signal. The monitor has HDMI In and HDMI Out connectors. The monitors should be connected with HDMI cables, creating a loop through the HDMI In and HDMI Out monitor connectors

› Monitor housing made of solid mechanised aluminium with anodised finish and front glass

› Electrically powered lift system with variable speed

› Addressable RS422 monitor control by AHnet protocol, RJ45 connector CAT5

Features

The DB2 system is a professional TFT display with an elegant housing and an electrical lift system to be installed in horizontal surfaces.

In the starting position (retracted) the screen is placed inside the table leaving the desk free of any obtrusive element. When in this position, electricity will be automatically off to save energy and preserve the panel life.

By touching the sensor located on the top right of the screen, the TFT panel goes up into the working position (raised and tilted). The TFT power is restored.

With the DynamicShare system, users can send a local image to all monitors in a very easy way. The user can select locally the image to show and then send it to the HDMI Loop so that all monitors show this signal.

View button. Press this button to select the local input source to display (local HDMI signal or loop shared signal). By pressing the VIEW sensor during 5 seconds the private mode will be activated (green LED on). While in private mode the monitor will always display the local signal source even if another monitor activates the Share option.

Share button. Press this button to share the local signal. The red LED light indicates that the DynamicShare system is sending the local image to the HDMI loop and all monitors are displaying this signal. When pressing this button again, the red LED will turn off and the monitors will display their local signal on screen.

DynamicShare

DynamicShare is an equivalent to multiple HDMI selectors connected to multiple cascade HDMI distribution amplifiers in a daisy chain topology, allowing the user to display local sources privately without affecting the other users in the loop. The control is embedded into a HDMI signal and is carried along with the video signal.

DynamicShare HDMI connection:

The HDMI loop daisy chain connection allows to share a local signal with all monitors on that particular loop. The image displayed on screen is controlled by two touch sensors on the glass frame.

Each monitor has two local HDMI input signals. HDMI 1 is placed below the monitor and HDMI 2 is the HDMI retractable cable. A loop HDMI input signal is used to receive the active signal shared, connecting the monitor installation as showed on the above picture. The loop HDMI output signal is used to send the active share signal to the next monitor.

DynamicShare Installation

One of the monitors is configured as the Master unit.

The Master monitor controls the whole DynamicShare system.

The installation is very easy. It just consists in creating a HDMI loop connecting HDMI cables between the Loop Out and Loop In connectors from one unit to another.

On starting up the Master unit will check the loop and assign an AHnet identification number to control the system externally.

The following figure shows the connectivity of this project and the AHnet assignation numbers

Maximum length of the HDMI cable: 2 meters

Maximum resolution 1080p

Page 15: AH17DB2 S2J - Arthur Holm · 2019-05-23 · Use GPI1 (1:12Vdc, 2: Ground) to open the monitor. Use GPI3 (6:12Vdc, 5: Ground) to close the monitor. Termination: Activate (ON) the termination

15

User manual DynamicShare

DynamicShare Start-up

Every time the DynamicShare system starts up the Master unit checks the HDMI loop. It takes around 3 minutes to finish this operation. During this process the Master unit checks the loop and assigns the AHnet number to each unit.

When the Master unit is checking the loop LED indicators of all units are flashing.

If the LED indicators of the Master unit are still flashing after 3 minutes of the start-up process, it means there is a faulty connection in the HDMI loop. Check the HDMI connections in the monitors, specially in those where the LED indicators are not flashing.

To install the system for the first time connect the Master unit to your network and then access the Master unit using a web browser.

Factory IP address is 192.168.0.125.

Go to AHnet control and click on Rebuild Loop. All units should appear on the list.

User manual AHnet Protocol

AHnet Protocol

Use RS422 AHnet RJ45 input signal of the Master monitor to send AHnet commands to control the rest of the monitors.

In this project there is a Master unit, which assigns automatically the RS422 ID numbers in the HDMI loop daisy chain.

Configure ID:1 in all displays using the LCD configuration placed below the monitor.

The Master unit assigns the RS422 identification address for the DynamicShare and the DB2 monitor.

The following figure shows the RS422 address in this project:

Page 17: AH17DB2 S2J - Arthur Holm · 2019-05-23 · Use GPI1 (1:12Vdc, 2: Ground) to open the monitor. Use GPI3 (6:12Vdc, 5: Ground) to close the monitor. Termination: Activate (ON) the termination
