Baun-da

Bandha' (bond, arrest) is a term for the "body locks" in Hatha Yoga, treated under the heading of mudra.


Bandha’s

Pada Bandha - foot lock

Hasta Bandha - hand lock

Mula Bandha - root lock

Uddiyana Bandha - core lock

Jalandhara Bandha - throat lock


Pada Bandha पादबn

Pada = Footpa-daactivations of the three arches of the foot while grounding through three points.


Hasta Bandha हsाबn

Hasta = HandHa-stadrawing up through the center of the palm with the fingers tented on the ground


Mula Bandha (मूल बंध)

Mula = root or basemoo-laContraction and lifting of the perineum


Uddiyana Bandha उ.ीयानबn

uddiyana = up, upwardoo-dee-YAH-nahcontraction and upward lifting of the abdomen into the rib cage
