Basic• Agricultural courses are open to all grade

levels• 1 semester courses for ½ credit• If you are in Agricultural for one semester

you are eligible to join FFA.

Principles of Agriculture, Food and Natural

Resources• This class will teach you about – Various animal breeds – Plant species – Parliament procedures – Tools in the shop – Fundamentals of Ag. Mechanics

Wildlife, Fishers and Ecology Management

• Do you like to hunt? This class will get you ,your hunter’s

certification Teach you the importance of wildlife Recreational activities

• Ex. Water skiing, hiking, shooting sports, horse back riding.

• This past year students took a field trip to a shooting range Where they could pick from activities

such as • Ex. Archery, shooting with various

guns, and shooting clay disc

• Grades 9-12• ½ credit for 1 semester

Livestock Production

• WANT TO BE A VETERINARIAN? THIS IS THE CLASS TO TAKE !– YOU WILL LEARN HOW THE BODY OF

ANIMALS WORK – THE DIFFERENT FEATURES ANIMALS HAVE – HOW BUTTER, AND MILK PRODUCTION

WORKS GRADES 10-12 ½ CREDIT FOR 1 SEMESTER

Horticulture Science

• Plants– You will be working in a greenhouse – Working in a garden – Planting various plants

• Ex. Tomatoes, corn, flowers.

Grades 10-12½ credit for 1 semester

Principles and Elements of Floral Design

• Have you ever wanted to make your own flower arrangements, and corsages this is the class for you!– You will learn the details of various flowers – This class is all about plantsGrades 10-121 credit

Agricultural Facilities Design and Fabrication

• In this course you will be taught the skills of construction.– You will gain a PE credit

• Welding – Safety on welding and proper procedures – You don’t just learn about welding you weld!

• You can gain certifications in electrical, pipefitting, plumbing, sheet metal.

• By the end of the year you will design and build your own project!

• This class is to further your education in construction skills – Machinery, industry construction techniques– You will build more projects!
