1 Purpose This document has series of screenshot for a straight forward installation of MSSQL database for Afaria landscape implementation; version used MSSQL 2008 R2 Standard for Afaria 6.6 FP1.
Important Note: Customer side installations may vary depending on the landscape requirements. This guide should be used as mere handy reference and to get an idea in advance on what to expect. This installation was performed for a real-time customer side Afaria implementation and it is intended for SAP internal use/circulation only.

2 Installing MSSQL for Afaria
2.1 Installation Media - MSSQL
2.1.1 setup.exe Following screenshot shows a typical installation media directory tree for MSSQL 2008 R2 Standard version. Once you double click setup.exe, depending on your OS configuration, you would see the following pop-up asking to enable the .NET Framework Core role.

Following is what will take place when you click OK in the above (2.1.1). Click on the Installation and then New installation or add feature to an existing installation.
