Aged Care facilities require plant and equipment that needs minimal maintenance to ensure that the facilities management is both cost effective and does not utilise specialist contractors. Warm water, post tempered and hot water solutions can be provided using a variety of heat sources including solar. G2 TECH provides engineered solutions that can integrate with BMS or have simple audibleaudible or visual indications where a building management system is not available.

G2 TECH employs the latest Copper silver ionisation disinfection method that provides a residual barrier within the ring main and stored water vessels. With “dead legs and decommissioned plant and facility a traditional source of legionella outbreak a residual disinfection can substantially reduce or eliminate unforeseen high legionella counts. The system has BMS outputsoutputs and over-temp protection to ensure the facilities duty of care to residents is paramount and where BMS is not present the visual and audible alarm suffice.
Traditional warm water systems primarily rely on UV disinfection to ensure legionella is not detected within the system and are also heavily reliant on a specialized maintenance regime. UV lamps, ballasts and sleeves are high cost spare parts and not always readily available which is critical with a system that relies on a kill on pass basis.
Localised TMV systems have increased capitol costs and a high annual service cost, making the Aeris system an attractive alternative to the reticulated hot water system. The hot water system requires “in facility” servicing necessitating resident interruption and trades in common areas.
WWarm water systems can reduce heat loss in a traditional hot water ring main by up to 50% equating to savings of up to $10,000 in 120 bed facility annually. Combine this saving with an 80% reduction in service cost on average of a localised TMV system and the benefits of the Aeris soon come to the fore.
