Directors College Credit union directors are expected to truly understand the nature of their credit union’s business plan, compliance program, and portfolio risks. Pioneered in 2008, NASCUS’ Directors Colleges bring together credit union directors along with senior credit union staff to hear first-hand from state regulators regarding their expectations of the directors and from leading professionals on the hot button issues confronting directors such as BSA/AML requirements, cyber security, succession planning, managing interest rate risk, national issues, CECL accounting changes, and much more.

Industry Day / Executive Forums An up-close look at the state regulatory agenda and practices is offered to credit union executive staff at these exclusive gatherings with state credit union regulatory officials. Hosted by NASCUS in conjunction with local state credit union regulators, these intense, one-day programs bring credit union regulators and practitioners face-to-face to share experiences and ideas about developing a stronger state credit union system in their states. The Industry Day/Executive Forums also provide an opportunity for credit union executive staff to enhance their understanding of current challenges facing the credit union system with the added advantage of hearing their state regulator’s views on those challenges.
