LEARN MORE

Dear Parents, Community Members and Staff,

Welcome to the 2015-2016 school year. I am extremely humbled to be writing this letter to you as your new superintendent. I feel blessed and grateful to have been given the opportunity to lead one of the most highly regarded and award-winning districts in the state.

We are so fortunate to have a school district for which we can be proud—one in which administrators, teachers, support staff, parents and the community partner together to provide the best educational opportunities for our students.

This past summer, the district committed to its annual goals which help to support and enhance our mission of “Empowering all students to succeed in a changing society.” The goals include the following: • Nurturing success through the provision of healthy, safe and secure workplace environments • Advancing excellence through meaningful partnerships, collaborations and sound governance • Ensuring curricular/instruction quality and equity for all students • Focusing resources in support of the district’s mission

Setting annual goals allows us to be specific, measurable and action-oriented in our purpose. My belief is that if we work toward these goals with the mindset of always doing what is in the best interest of students, we will fulfill our mission as outlined above.

I consider it a privilege to be your new superintendent and I will work tirelessly to advance excellence in everything we do.

Warm Regards,

Bret Towne
