Programmes in the country through Education & Training, Research & Evaluation, specializedservices, consultancy and advisory services.

There is a one post of Consultant in the study titled Partnering Public Health to BuildCommunity Mental Health in India. Interested candidates may appear for the post. This post ispurely on contract basis as per details given below:

Duration : 12 months

Place of Duty : NIHFW, New Delhi

Emoluments : Rs.70,000/- p.m. (consolidated) per month

Essential Qualification: i) MD in Psychiatry with 3 years experience, or

ii) PG Diploma (Psychiatry) with 5 years experience, oriii) M. Phil in Psychiatric Social Work with 5 years experience, oriv) M. Phil in Clinical Psychology with five years experience

Desirable : Minimum 5 years' experience in mental health program within ahealthcare organization / NGO.

Required Certification: Registered to medical board or to relevant professional board ofpractice.

Preferred experience in managing the interface between government and service providers and

with NGOs

Position Description

The Position will support the National Institute of Health and Family Welfare and its designatedofficers in the implementation of the community mental health project in the following areas:

1. Support to the National Institute of Health and Family Welfare and its designatedofficers in the implementation of the community mental health project in the followingareas.

2. Support the development of community mental health services in accordance withWHO and government of India policies in the four designated pilot sites.

3. Document findings for academic and government audiences.

4. Report to NIHFW on government processes and expectations in the field of menta

health service delivery.

5. Facilitate and advise on best ways to maintain cooperative and productiverelationships with all key stakeholders, including national and state governmentsprofessional bodies, consumer and care groups and NGO's in mental health.

General:

The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the study related. Initial appointment will be for3 months extendable further depending on performance. The post does not carry with it anyguarantee of employment in NIHFW.
