Undercover Copper Documentary

Situation
An insider documentary has been released covering the British Police System’s unjust and crude behavior that shows an especially unfavorable view of the police officers.
The video shows a lack of overall care and concern coming from the police officers. The general public was affected and by the general bad attitude toward their job.
Women are verbally abused within the police force. Also, the coppers fail to respond to a number of crimes simply because they are lazy. They do this in hopes that others will step up and take care of the case.
Objective
We aim to calm British society down considerably. In doing so, we hope to give them reason to trust their police force once again.
Strategy
First, we will hold an immediate press release covering important topics and concerns.
We will set a plan to crack down on police station behavior by enforcing stricter legislation and rules in police stations. This will hold officers accountable for where they are and what they’re doing at all times.
A few video news releases and one documentary will be made in order to let the public in on the changes being made. Standards are being raised and the public will be able to mark the progress and change.
Tactics The immediate press release will emphasize that the officers in
the video are being either immediately fired or disciplined. Concerns and rumors will be made clear to the public; the truth will be told.
Following the press release, our plans for a more strict station will be released. A GPS on the officer will constantly monitor where they are. Strict discipline will include filling out reports that make the officers accountable for their time and their actions towards other officers and the entire population.
We will speak with the director of the documentary to set a deal to make another after the initial plan has been implemented. This will give the public a chance to actually see the changes being made, and show the public the evidence of improvements.
One video news release will generate buzz about the good things that the station is doing, rather than highlighting all of the problems in the system.
Budget
In order to successfully undergo these changes, a large sum will be needed for the director and we will need enough to cover the VNR’s making.
Evaluation
The public’s response to officers will be a great source of immediate feedback.
Random polls and focus groups will be held to assess the thoughts about the entire force.
Opinions should be absorbed. The public should have a voice, we will listen to their feedback on the changes.
Other Issues to Consider The flow of opinion: As many people don’t have TV’s or no
access to the newspaper, they likely heard about the problems via biased, twisted word of mouth. By letting the community have active involvement in the changes, the information will get around to those who are secluded from the media.
Source credibility and cognitive dissonance: Since we are urging the population to form opinions, feedback on the changes will help better this issue. Also, allowing the public find out about the police system will let them form their own opinion on the force’s potential, therefore lending the system to change.
Suggestions for action: A town meeting, news coverage, door to door informative meetings, as well as examples of how small things can make a difference in the community. The public needs to be encouraged to participate in order for change to be noticed.
