Reach out to club officers through visitations

It may be more effective to visit service events, so members can get to know the nonprofessional as well as the professional side of you.

Can give newer clubs a better insight into Key Club

Boosting Club Attendance


Offer incentives to both officers and members

Monthly recognition, food at meetings, and more.

Develop interclub connectionsConsider partnering stronger clubs in the division with weaker clubs, so they can work together to plan service events and fundraisers.


Reach less active members through the dedicated ones

You’ll find very dedicated members in each club. Get them involved & HOOK them!

Encourage attendance of region and district level events

Members can feel the true spirit of Key Club at larger events, which may inspire them to participate more at their club level.


Remember the PUROPOSE of the event

This is for the MEMBERS – ALL MEMBERSEvery club should be attendingThis is THEIR local convention

Coordinate with Kiwanis early on to ensure proper chaperone count

Region Training Conference


Work with on-site staff (if applicable) to ensure proper space, electricity access, projectors, etc.

Make sure all logistics are planned out with the Region Team; communication is vital

Communicate with clubs early boost attendance and talk about the importance of RTC


Clubs need to resolve all MUC challenges before the school year

Attempting to gain access to the MUC before the school year is a great way to troubleshoot any issues

Dues Collection


Officers and Advisors need to be educated on the dues process

Train Secretaries, Treasurers, and even Advisors with the process at a training conference


Education on why we pay dues is crucial

Members should know what their $11 is going to

Start early! Delinquent dues is an issue that is preventable through training/education.


Plan and arrange transportation as early as possible.

Identify lead adult as soon as possibleContact charter bus services and school

district to receive rates and get a quote NO CONTRACTS!

Help clubs identify other transportation options if necessary

Fall Rally


Coordinate chaperones as early as possible

Day Event Ratio: 1:12 Help clubs arrange this early to avoid last minute problems

Start promoting Fall Rally early

Work to keep members active afterwards!

School is always the Priority

BUT…it is important to communicate and not disappear

Officers should be taking time for themselves too!

A “Key Club Vacation” is a perfect way to take a break from Key Club, and get back in the swing of things once in control


Give members a reason to be there

Fourth Quarter


Training should be taking place ASAP

Begin training IMMEDIATELY after conclave to ease the transition

A lack of training contradicts the legacy you are trying to leave behind

Give advice, files, and any other supplemental information that will assist the elect with transition

Transition


Members should prepare for the transition of leadership

Not everyone has the same leadership styles

Have elects (i.e. presidents, LTGs) assist in hosting a meeting


Your job isn’t over yet!You still have duties and responsibilities to

fulfil: your elect is not responsible for your obligations

The last quarter does not signify an end to accomplishing your goals

It is never too late to accomplish anything. Put best effort to finish what you startedLeave your legacy!
