Pam and Eddie Smith moved to Chauvel Village after visiting several villages and knew immediately once they had visited Chauvel that this was the place for them. Pam said “I love everything, the peace, security and all the friends we have made in the village. Our family also loves to come and visit”. Pam enjoys participating in the weekly craft activities whilst Eddie ensures that resident supplies of tea, coffee and biscuits are plentiful for all to enjoy a cuppa and a chat. Pam and Eddie enjoy being active and regularly use the gym in the village. They are both keen travellers and have been all over Australia in their caravan, their last trip was up to Queensland.

Now it’s our turn to look after you LifeCare @ Home is designed to help give you time by providing assistance with cleaning and other tasks. And LifeCare @ Home also provides peace of mind – knowing that care services are on-tap – immediate emergency call assistance and ongoing care in the home.

We understand that people feel the most comfortable and relaxed at home and families like to know their loved ones are safe and happy. RSL LifeCare provides the services that ensure your choice to live at home can be fulfilled.

You may need a hand at home, be returning home from hospital, or require support to get out and about.

We are available 24 hours, seven days a week.

All members of the LifeCare @ Home team are motivated people with a ‘can-do’ attitude, who bring energy, enthusiasm and compassion to the people they serve every day. Team members participate in a detailed recruitment process which includes background checks, reference checks and ongoing supervision to ensure the highest quality team of staff are on hand to deliver quality care.

Carer consistency is also a service which LifeCare @ Home clients enjoy. This means that clients and their family members have the opportunity to become familiar and comfortable with their carer rather than experience the confusion of new faces and names.

Australia’s first General, Harry Chauvel, was born at Tabulam, near Lismore and was involved in the Boer War, WWI and WWII. He won particular praise for his fighting skill at Gallipoli and in the Middle East in WWI. His fighting skills, dedication and focus on his people are legendary. As a soldier, Chauvel’s courage and calmness were matched by his humanity which was extended to the enemy as well as his own men. He was always well forward in battle; in the field he lived simply, sleeping in his greatcoat on the sand when his force was on the move. Loyalty was one of his chief characteristics.

Our History RSL LifeCare is a charitable organisation that was formed in 1911 to provide care and service to war veterans. Services were initially provided at Bare Island, Botany Bay, until moving to Narrabeen in 1939. From small beginnings providing care and service to just a handful of war veterans, the organisation has grown to be one of the largest senior living services in Australia.

Caring for 7,500 people across Retirement Living, Home Care, Assisted Living, Dementia and Nursing Homes, we have developed an extensive range of services that fosters independence and provides social, clinical, emotional and spiritual support.

Despite our growth and the passage of time, RSL LifeCare remains true to its original aim and mission – to provide a home of peace and security to senior Australians.
