Mount up and compete in Team Goat Penning, Soggy Boot Relay, Trail Obstacle Challenge

This activity provides a great opportunity to blow away the competition (figuratively

speaking, of course). We provide everything but the manpower as your group fires balls of

paint at one another with Tippmann Paintball guns. The paintball “battlefield” is set up in the

woods of Wolf Cave Mountain. The excitement generated from the activity is matched by

none other. Pricing includes 500 paintballs per person, paintball guns, helmets with masks

and referees to manage the fun! Add colorful team tee shirts or disposable camouflage

This event offers your group their very own search and rescue scenario. First, teams

will learn a number of skills necessary to complete their mission, such as compass

bearing and use of GPS devices. Then, they plan and execute the rescue. The rescue

mission requires each team to race from coordinate to coordinate while successfully

completing a series of challenges and collecting the items needed to rescue their

teammate. Teams will have to run, paddle and think together to accomplish their

goal. The Search and Rescue scenario is a fast-paced and fun team-building event!


Using a smart phone, GPS technology and effective teamwork, your team must locate

a mysterious hidden treasure! Your mission is complicated as the hidden treasure is

at a location far away, and can only be found by locating a series of caches. In each

cache you will find clues that must be deciphered to reveal your next waypoint

location. To find your treasure, you may have to hike, cycle, kayak or even climb.

Your mission may take you on a journey through time and history or into the

wilderness to find the treasure! Minimum of 8 people and maximum of 60 | Allow 2-3 hours for this activity

The Amazing Race, Barnsley Style! Teams will face both physical and mental

challenges to finish the race. To accomplish your goal, you must stay together and

work together to complete the challenges put before you. You will receive a Route

Clue at each location once you have completed the Challenge. You will be given

choices along the way as you come up against Detours and Road Blocks. This is a

timed event, but accuracy and high scores are more important. There will be a

Referee at each location who will conduct the challenge and send you on your way!


Your group is divided into Posse Teams and our Barnsley Wranglers guide teams on a

Scavenger Hunt/Poker Ride on horseback. The teams also compete in a series of

Western-Themed Challenges such as roping competitions, horseshoe pitching, BB

shooting, Archery, Rodeo Clown Relay and Nanny Goat Round-Up for a fun and

exciting way to work and play together!


Allow 2-4 hours for this activity, depending on the size of the group

The name of the game is to solve each riddle, offering some thought-provoking

challenges along the way. You will work as a team on this big adventure. The group is

divided into teams and given maps and riddles to solve, leading participants through

the Village, Gardens and historic Manor House Ruins in search of specific items to

collect at each location. Participants will face challenges along the way to generate

more competition. Our referees are stationed along the way to make sure teams

arrive back safely.


Our escape experience is a fun and interactive team building

experience with a storyline based on our historic past. Teams

will work against the clock to escape the from the wine cellar of

the Manor House Ruins. A successful escape requires teams

working together, communicating effectively, focusing on the

task at hand and working diligently towards a common goal

while under a tight deadline. Pricing includes venue fee and is

dependent on availability.

Please join us for a half or full day of learning that could very well

save your life or at the very least make your time spent outdoors

more enjoyable. The primary objective of this challenge is to

equip our participants with skill sets that will aid them in surviv-

ing the critical first 72 hours of a survival scenario and make time

Our certified Fly Fishing Instructors teach the basic skills of fly

casting before putting the teams through a series of casting

challenges. Once your skills are honed, your instructors let the

teams test the waters of our resort ponds for a friendly

competition for the biggest catch, highest catch and the best

team/combined catch. Includes all equipment.

Enjoy a relaxing guided outing to Cedar Hill Lake. Located just

20 minutes from the resort, this 38-acre lake was established

in 1945 using the underwater structures to provide the perfect

environment for warm water species like Bluegill, Shell Cracker

and Florida Largemouth Bass. Guests enjoy private access and

have the use of a Pavilion with WiFi, TV, Fireplace and

Furnishings and the Boat House. Pricing includes a four-hour

outing with one guide per four anglers, fishing boats with

trolling motors and all equipment for either fly fishing or spin

fishing.

In this team-building challenge, BUILDING is the key word! Teams work

together to brainstorm, design, create and race their boat, vehicle or glider

plane, either life-sized or a miniature version, depending on your project and

the season. The team’s success depends on how well they work together to

build a race-ready project out of cardboard and other materials provided.

Whether your objective is best performance or best design, the result is

priceless. This activity encourages individuals to work cohesively with others,

adapt to time constraints, work with limited materials and be innovative.


Teams work together to build a bike or a wagon for a child in need. Or, craft a

doghouse to comfort a rescue dog. Design and creativity are appreciated as

much as function, with supplies provided to decorate and enhance your

creation. Choose from a list of local charities to receive your contributions.


This private movie set-up can be enjoyed indoors or outdoors. Our portable

16-foot inflatable screen can be set up in the location of your choice such as

our outdoor Beer Garden, inside Town Hall or maybe a movie in the Meadow!

the materials needed. This activity is great paired with beverage service

The Shooting Grounds is 3000 acres of tall pines, open

fields, rolling hills and flat lands. This hunting preserve is

managed and cultivated with an ideal blend of quail habitat

that ranges from dense cover grasses to large feed strips of

sunflower, corn and millet. The half-day hunt includes

guides, dogs, 25 birds and off-road vehicle.

Designed to emulate the European Driven pheasant hunts,

our releases take place at the Shooting Grounds, which

encompasses 1800 acres that have been developed and

managed for some of the finest upland bird hunting in the

world. Includes birds and dog handlers with retrievers. Gun

rentals and ammunition are available.



Experience the sunrise with a view of our 15 acres of

flooded lowland at the Shooting Grounds. Our two-hour

morning hunts start 30 minutes after daybreak and include

blinds, guides, retrievers, four ducks per hunter with an

opportunity to harvest additional ducks at $30 per bird.

Waders not required. Gun rentals and ammunition are

available.



For those who have a full day to dedicate to the sport of

shooting, consider a combination of sporting clays and

upland bird hunting with lunch in between.

The Shooting Grounds are perfect for the seasoned shotgunner and for those trying

the sport for the first time. Our sporting club is home to two of the premier sporting

clays courses in the Southeast. Enjoy a self-or trapper-guided outing on the wooded

Mine Course, which includes targets presented over the ponds created by the

reclaimed bauxite mines. Or, try out our new Rock Course, which simulates

hunting conditions in the open field. Our course is perfect for leisure shooting as well

as competitive tournaments.

Fantastic for mixed ability groups, this shooting activity combines group and

individual instruction (including 10 targets per person) with a half-round of sporting

clays (50 targets per person) on our beautifully designed Sporting Clays Course. The

session concludes with a Five Stand Flurry that is fun and fast paced, providing a “big

bang” ending to your program. This event can be combined with an outdoor cookout

and bonfire for an unforgettable experience! Price includes gun rental and

ammunition.

Join a Certified Wildlife Biologist on a Southern safari traversing thousands of acres of

rolling hills and open fields accented by tall Georgia pines at the Shooting Grounds.

Custom four-wheel drive vehicles offer an open-air vantage point to take in the views

and perhaps spot wildlife! Stop along the way for a safari-style luncheon served out in

the field.

Designed for 6-12 guests with lunch in the field. For larger groups, lunch may be

arranged at the Shooting Grounds Clubhouse. Tours may be offered on a rotating ba-

sis for groups with more than 12 guests.

Get fired up and ready for a fast-paced competition. In

this competition guests are divided into teams. Each

team works together to prep and cook a course that will

be later served for dinner. With our professional chef as

a culinary coach, each team strategizes together to

create a meal, a protein, vegetable, starch and dessert

will be prepared. Creativity, division of tasks and

effective communication within each team are critical.

The end result? A full seated meal garnished with team

bonding and served with a side of

competitive edge.



We can offer a number of themed events such as

“Murder Mystery” dinner theater, game shows, s’mores

around the fire pit, luaus, rodeo dinners, casino nights

Individuals or teams face off for best burger bragging rights! Each competitor or team will

receive a mystery box containing two to three types of meat, seasonings and other

undisclosed ingredients. There will also be a general store of kitchen products that will be

open to competitors to use in creating their burgers and toppings. From there, it’s up to

the team to produce a creative burger using all of the items in the box. You will write a

recipe, prepare and cook burgers on the grills provided. Each team will prepare three

burgers for display and one for tasting by the judges. Our culinary staff will time each

team on each portion of the event. Burgers are judged on creativity, flavor, timing and

tidiness of that station.

Minimum of 8 people and maximum of 20 | Allow 1 hour for this activity

A fun and spicy cooking competition designed to develop communication and sharing

skills. Culinary skills will come in handy as each team develops their own chili recipe to

create an unforgettable southwestern delicacy. Teams will be developing recipes,

prepping, cooking and creating a presentation that will show off their chili and the team’s

creativity. When the judging begins, scorecards will be utilized to award points based on

creativity, presentation, and taste. One team will emerge triumphant as the reigning Chili

Cook-Off Champions! Judges can either be members of the participating company or our

culinary staff. All equipment provided.


Making pizza is a delicious and creative activity for your entire team. Teams are judged on

creativity, flavor and how well they work together as a team. The teams get warmed up

and get their creative juices flowing when the chef gives them instructions on where to

start and what is expected. The teams will pair up and converse about what they want for

dinner tonight. You will be creating a pizza based on the ingredients given. Our chef will

guide the teams as they create their wonderful creations and we will end with sharing the

meal together. Knead the dough for the pizza and finally customize your sauce and

toppings. Add a bar and hors d'oeuvres to enjoy while chef places the pizzas in the oven.

The competition is followed by a pizza dinner complete with side dishes and dessert.


Looking for a fun and casual team building activity? Our Small Plates party is the perfect

option for company events. After our chef gives an introduction and directions guests put

on their aprons and begin an interactive cooking demonstration with our culinary experts.

The group will be divided into teams that will then work together to prepare spectacular

reception foods that they can then enjoy prior to dinner.

All Culinary challenges must be reserved in advance and

booked no later than 5 days prior to your event. A 100%

cancellation fee for any activity cancelled within 72 hours of

event applies. Weather call must be made 5 hours in

advance the day of the event. We reserve the right to use

our discretion in the service of alcoholic beverages. No

outside food or beverage is permitted. All food and

beverage receive an additional 22% service charge and 7%

sales tax. Rental fees receive an additional 7% sales tax.

Our Barnsley Resort Mixologists keep several

cocktails in the works. With this option, groups can

learn the step-by-step instructions to create

signature cocktails, and of course, enjoy a tasting

of each. Light bar snacks are available during

session.

Tastings are designed to correspond with our wine specialist’s philosophy of entertaining
