Bringing Architects & Designers to the Public
ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN In some ways Architecture & Design impact every aspect of our lives. In effect, they create the world we inhabit. Every object and every place we come in contact with everyday is the result of design.
The key to understanding our world is understanding how design oper-ates as a practice and how it forms the world humans inhabit. Better objects and better places make better, safer, healthier and more pro-ductive communities.
Design quality is becoming an increasingly valuable commodity. Design not only makes products, spaces, and cities more attractive, but it also improves functionality, both of which add real value.
VISION
To create a vehicle through which the practitioners of Architecture and Design can engage a broadly collaborative audience and create a culture that becomes energized about Architecture and Design.
MISSION
The Architecture & Design Center exists to create an alliance of or-ganizations and individuals that celebrate the value and influence of Architecture and Design.
OBJECTIVE
To increase the number, quality, and exposure of programs dedicated to Architecture and Design in all its forms. Young Architects Forum of Atlanta

ADC
The ADC will be an independent, nonprofit cultural organization dedicated to bringing design professionals, de-sign advocates, design aficionados, and design fans together.
The ADC will achieve its missions through three actions:
[ONE] Develop and promote its own programs
[TWO] Promote programs by others that are in keeping with its vision and mission
[THREE] Co-develop and co-promote programs with others.
The ADC, through its own actions or its strategic relationships, will produce a broad range of social and cultural products across a wide range of me-dia. The range and content of these programs is virtually unlimited.
ADC programs will focus on three things:
[ONE] Bringing together different groups of Artists, Architects, Designers and associated occupations.
[TWO] Making the expertise of Artists, Architects and Designers accessible to those with a general interest in design.
[THREE] Promoting high quality design through various venues and media.

ADC
LAUNCHThe ADC will be the leading center of its type in the South-eastern United States. Design professionals and design enthusiasts will come from around the world to participate in its events and programs. Additionally it will help market Atlanta’s design culture and professionals to world markets.
To start, the ADC will have no permanent physical home. Instead it will share spaces with its partner organizations. This will encourage the forming of strong bonds with other organizations and tie expenditures to success.
