WHAT'S NEW WITH ADAPT? A Bi-Monthly Newsletter JULY 2020 WHAT WE DO We empower all community members, from youth to older adults, and collaborate with community partners to improve prevention and awareness, while also advocating for local and countywide changes in policy, programs, and practices. We focus on preventing and reducing underage drinking, prescription drug misuse/abuse, and youth tobacco/vaping use. We work together in committees to plan and act on the ideas of the entire group to implement different initiatives related to substance abuse prevention. WHO WE ARE The Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Team (ADAPT) is a coalition dedicated to reducing substance abuse and improving the overall health of all residents in Essex County. ADAPT'S NEW LOGO! Family Connections went through a complete rebranding process over the past year and we are excited that our agency continues to be a strong, recognizable brand in all of New Jersey. Through the rebranding process, ADAPT and everyone else under the Family Connections umbrella has undergone and upgraded to show our lineage and deep connection (no pun intended) to our organization. We are excited to share with you our new logo that was voted on by our membership and displayed at our July General Coalition Meeting. Join us in welcoming the new face of ADAPT while continuing the progress that our amazing coalition and its members have done over the past 8 years!!
