About this book…

This book is about Almanzo Wilder. Almanzo lived in northern New York. He worked all day and night with his brothers and sisters. His brother, Royal was thirteen. His sisters, Eliza Jane was twelve and Alice was ten. Almanzo was the youngest of them all. This book tells about Almanzo’s life growing up on a farm with his family. Ten years later he would marry the famous author Laura Ingalls Wilder. She has written other books telling about her life. These books are called the, “Little House” series.

Almanzo wanted to go out into the world but he was only eight so he kept working with his family until he was older.

This picture is of Almanzo when he was very young. I think he is about nine years old.

This book was great I would give it a ten out of ten, it’s so amazing!

I would recommend this book to everyone because it’s very detailed and it’s true!

My Thoughts…

This book is perfect for people who like American history.

Things I liked… I liked were Almanzo got

two calf's for his birthday because he trained them

and they were his best friends. Things I did not like… I didn’t like when Almanzo’s Father and

Mr. Paddock got into a fight over what Almanzo would do when he grew up.
