Activities of the Vietnamese Centre of ITI

Activities 2012In response to the 50th anniversary of World Theatre Day the Vietnam Stage Artists Association/Vietnam Centre ITI organized a production “Nguyen Du and Kieu“ by the author, director - People‘s Artist Lan Huong and the Experimental Troupe of the Vietnam Youth Theatre performed on 26/3/2012 in Hanoi Opera House.This play is inspired by Truyên Kiêu (The Tale of Kieu) by the great poet Nguyen Du. The Vietnam Stage Artists Association cooperates with the Vietnam Youth Theatre. The show aims to explore new directions for the Vietnamese contemporary stage arts in the process of integration into the international stage.

Activities 2013In order to celebrate the World Theatre Day, 27th of March, 2013, VSAA/Vietnamese Centre of ITI organized a selective performing arts program that includes prize awarded performances in the International Theatre Festival and many extracts of famous traditional stage performances of Vietnam. With the participation of People‘s Artists, Fine Artists (Meritorious) and talented young artists from The National and Hanoi Theatres such as: The Vietnam Tuong Theatre, The Vietnam Cheo Theatre, The National Puppet theatre, The Circus Federation of Vietnam, Thang Long Puppet Theatre (Hanoi).

Activities 2014On this day The Vietnam Stage Artists Association/Vietnamese Centre of ITI usually organizes art activities in order to celebrate the World Theatre Day:• the scientific seminar: “Creating Puppet repertoires:

conception value and artistic value“ • traditional water puppet programme.
