If you were to ask 100 people if they believed in miracles, you would probably get some firm yeses and nos, but the mosfrequent answer would most likely be, Id like to. Most peoplelike the idea of something impossibly wonderful happening tothem when they expect it least and need it most, but they figurprobably never will. They either take an if-it-happens-it-happen

approach, or they think theyre too bad or that their lives andproblems are too insignificant to warrant supernatural intervention. The sad thing is, as long as those people dont expectmiracles, they probably wont experience the miracles they co

if they understood how miracles work and did their part.Yes, there are cases where impossibly wonderful things

happen to people with seemingly no effort or through no willof their own.A stranger appears out of nowhere to warn ofimpending danger; a toddler is lost in a blizzard, wandering helessly and freezing, when suddenly she comes to a house andis safe. But most miracles, believe it or not, come to those whomake them happen. They are the result of someones faith in aloving, caring, interactive God for whom nothing is impossible

Okay, you may say, so miracles are a result of faith. Thatdoesnt help me, because I dont have that kind of faith. Well, you can have that kind of faithanyone canand its not as has you might imagine. In fact, faith is agift. Its not something yhave to try to work up or earn through your own goodness. Itsgift from your loving heavenly Father who is just waiting for you

to reach out and receive it so He can begin working miracles fyou.

Debbie, who one month ago prayed with me to receiveJesus as her Savior, is overcoming a supposedly incur-able diseasehepatitis C. Her condition was complicatedby more than 10 years of heroin addiction. Her doctorscouldnt promise that she would live from one day to thenext. Since I prayed with her for her healing, her bloodhas normalized to the point that her doctors have discon-tinued her medication. When I first met her, she couldnt

make it through a short conversation without nodding offa few times. Now shes a picture of energy! She gets up at5:45 each morning, takes her little girl to school, makes itthrough the entire day without a nap, and does many othethings that were impossible for her before.

After suffering severe abdominal pain and missing myperiod for two months, I went to see a doctor. He found atumor the size of an orange on the right side of my uterusand told me that I had two alternatives: surgery or strongdrugs. Even after asking others to pray with me for myhealing, the pain got worse. My faith was being tested!

On my next visit, the doctor did another sonogram.Have you had an operation? he asked. I see only a scaon the right side of your uterus where the tumor was. Buthow can that be? There is no sign of an incision!

Then I realized the Lord had performed a miracle andhealed me without surgery or medication. I told the doctorabout the prayer and my life of faith. He was not onlyamazed, but prayed with me to receive Jesus.

A couple that my husband and I have known for a fewyears asked us to pray for a friend of theirs, a policemanwho was diagnosed with incurable cancer and given only

six months to live. At that time the man had already beenforced to leave his job, and was being sedated because oextreme pain.

We prayed together for his healing, and the Lordanswered! When the man went for his next checkup, hisdoctor told him that something very unusual had hap-pened. Six months later, the man has returned to the policforce and all those who knew of his illness are calling hishealing a miracle.

    The day of miracles is

not past!God is still in the

    business of transforming

bodies that need it. Hes still

    the Great Physician. He

still says, I am the Lord who

    heals you (Exodus 15:26),

and who forgives all your sins

and heals all your diseases(Psalm 103:3 NIV). God can

    FOR MIRACLES

    FINDING FAITH

    BY VIRGINIA BRANDT BERG

It took a miracle to put the stars in place. It took a miracle to hang the world in space. But when He saved my soul,Cleansed and made me whole,It took a miracle of love and grace.

    JOHN W. PETERSON

I CANNOT UNDERSTAND HOW ANYONECANNOT BELIEVE IN MIRACLES,when the

Bible contains so many accounts ofmiracles. Of course, you meet someintellectuals who contendoften inan inflated academic style and super-

cilious languagethat the miraclesrecorded in the Bible either neverhappened or can be explained scien-

tifically, or if they did happen, such

miracles are impossible today. Well, those miracles didhappen just likethe Bible says they did, and in every

case it only took two elements: thepower of God and someones faith. The power of God hasnt changed, ofcourse, so whenever that power is met

by the faith of some sincere believer, you can expect to see a miracle. Ithappens all the time!

Faith in the Bible creates faith inthe miraculous. The Bible not onlyreveals the acts of the supernatu-ral God, but it also imparts faith toanyone who reads it with an open

heart (Romans 10:17). The Bible hasa miraculous, transforming effect onour lives, and that gives us faith forother miracles. Faith in God and His

Son Jesus Christ, faith in the Christof the Bible, makes for faith in our

everyday lives. Thats because realfaith believes in the changeless Chrand His power brings the same resutoday as it did during His earthly

ministry and through His original flowers.

    Shortly before His crucifixion Jes

promised, He who believes in Me,

the works that I do he will do also;and greater works than these hewill do, because I go to My Father

(John 14:12). Then after His resur-rection, when He appeared to Hisdisciples, He said that signs (miraclwould follow those who believed in

Him, and miracles didfollow (Mark16:1718, 20). It wasnt long beforeothers were saying of the first Chris

tians, These who have turned theworld upside down have come heretoo (Acts 17:6). Those first followerand the ones who were to come hasuch confidence that the supernatu

ral power of God was at their com-mand that they dared to challenge mighty Roman Empire and shook iits very foundations.

    The power of

    God hasnt

    changed, so

    whenever that

    power is met

    by the faith of

    some sincere

    believer, you

    can expect to

    see a miracle.

If Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and for-ever (Hebrews 13:8), why is it so hard to believethat He, in answer to prayer, will do the same

kinds of miracles today? Wherever you find realfaith manifested, you will find miracles. Godsfaithfulness to His Word absolutelycompelsHim

    to perform miracles.

So when you dont see miracles it must bedue to an absence of faith, not because Christ orHis promises have changed in the very least. If

you live in His Word, if you dig out His promisesand build your faith on them, if you trust Him tokeep His word even when it seems impossible, youll see things come to pass that areimpos-

sible in the natural realm. Youll see God at workin the realm of the supernatural.

I pray that God will help you discover a sense

of the supernatural and learn to have completeconfidence in the reality of divine power thatsyours through the miraculous Word of God.With men it is impossible, but not with God; forwith God all things are possible (Mark 10:27).

Its been my practice for many years, when-ever some desperate need arose, to trust God towork a miracle. I didnt always get the miracleI was praying for, but that was never through

any fault of Godsand He didsend miraculous

answers to prayer many more times than Hekept me waiting or said no.

The eyes of the Lord run to and fro through-

out the whole earth, to show Himself strong inthe behalf of them whose heart is perfectfullof faithtoward Him (2 Chronicles 16:9 KJV).His compassion and love for you, His willing-

ness to come to your rescue in times of need, and His faithfulness to His promises are just thesame today. He longs to see faith and meet your

needs. The next time you need a miracle, claim this

promise in utter confidence: He who did notspare His own Son, but delivered Him up for usall, how shall He not with Him also freely give us

all things? (Romans 8:32). His power is just thesame today, and its there for you. God is still onthe throne, and prayerwholehearted, full-of-faith prayerchanges things!

    THEFAITH CONNECTION

A certain woman had a flow of blood fortwelve years, and had suffered many thingsfrom many physicians. She had spent all thatshe had and was no better, but rather grewworse. When she heard about Jesus, she came

behind Him in the crowd and touched Hisgarment; for she said, If only I may touch Hisclothes, I shall be made well.

Immediately the fountain of her blood wasdried up, and she felt in her body that she washealed of the affliction. And Jesus, immediatelyknowing in Himself that power had gone out of

Him, turned around in the crowd and said, Whtouched My clothes?

But His disciples said to Him, You see themultitude thronging You, and You say, Who

touched Me?And He looked around to see her who had

done this thing. But the woman, fearing andtrembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Himthe whole truth. And He said to her, Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, andbe healed of your affliction.

FOR THE LONGEST TIMEI tried to figure out thehow-tos of divine healing.

I had wanted to be able toboil everything down into

    a step-by-step, one-two-three healing formula so I

could say, If you want toget healed, all you have todo is follow these steps. But I finally concluded that

it doesnt work that way.If two people followed

the same steps, one mightget healed and the other

might not. The more Istudied various cases, themore I saw that each situ-ation was different. The

Lord seemed to handleeach individual differentlyand tailored their healingto their particular needs

and His will for them. Notwo people are exactly

alike, and the Lord worksdifferently in each of our

livesnot only in thematter of healing, but alsoin our circumstances, the

lessons He teaches us, thetests He puts us through, and the blessings He gives.

    Trying to give univer-

sal counsel on how to gethealed is just not possible, because the Lord doesnt

follow a set pattern.Thats why, if you read

many accounts of heal-ing, some seem to conflict

or even contradict eachother. Sometimes the Lordheals without any helpfrom anyone or anything,

sometimes He uses naturalremedies, and sometimesHe uses doctors prescrip-tions and skills.

When we realize theLord works differently ineach of our lives, we canbetter understand why

in some cases He healsus and in other cases Hedoesntat least not right

away. If we can grasp thispoint, it will help us to not

feel condemned when wepray to be healed fromwhatever is ailing us and

    it doesnt happen imme

diately. It will also help uto have more compassioand be less judgmental oothers when theyre sick

    or suffer long-term afflictions.

    DIVINE WISDOM AT

    WORK

Each of us is a com-plex physical and spiri-tual being. The Lord has

bestowed on each of usdifferent abilities, physic

and spiritual attributes, and strengths and weak

nesses. No two of us arealike. The Lord, our Makknows us better than weknow ourselves. He know

everything about usouevery thought, our everyweakness, our every joy,our every need. He know

exactly how to teach usthe lessons He wants usto learn. He knows whattests and trials we need

to endure to make us intwhat He wants us to be,and He measures these

things out to us in justthe exact portion that Hknows we neednever

too much and never toolittleand so it is with oafflictions and our heali

Two people could havprecisely the same afflic

tion, they could both prato be healed, and onecould get healed immedately and the other coul

differently in each of our lives.

atehealing, but I do havefaith for eventualhealing

know the Lord will heal mwhen Hes ready.

I can trust my life and

my health and my eyes tthe Lord, because I havefaith in His love and knowthat His ways and thoughare far above mine (Isaia

55:89). I believe that Heknows whats best for meand that He will heal meaccording to His plan an

    His timetable. To me, tha

the best kind of faithknowing that the Lord is complete control, trustin

Him to make it all turn othe way He wants it to, aexpecting Him to carry mthrough till it happens.

Its not just a questionof having faith for healinits a question of having

faith to accept the Lordsplan and design for yourlife, whatever that may bThose who suffer long-

term illnesses or injurieshave to keep believingeven though they arenthealed. When the afflic-

tion persists month aftermonth, they have to hold

on and trust the Lord toeither heal them eventu-

ally, or to give them thegrace to continue to bearthe affliction and try tolearn whatever He wants

them to learn throughit. They have to find andaccept the Romans 8:28

continue to be afflicted foryears. Does this mean that

the one who gets healedimmediately is strongerspiritually or closer to the

Lord than the other? Notnecessarily. The reasonsthe Lord allowed these twopeople to be afflicted inthe first place may have

been completely different. If His reasons for allowingthe afflictions are differ-ent, then His reasons for

    healing or not healing are

    different as well.Perhaps the first

    person needed to be

more humble, so theLord allowed them to beafflicted. When the afflic-tion had accomplished its

purpose, the Lord healedthem. In the second case, maybe the Lord knows the

person needs to endurethe affliction longer inorder to learn patience oraccomplish some other

purpose He wants to bringabout. Whatever the case, afflictions are good thingsin disguise because they

have the potential to bringabout spiritual blessings in

    our lives.

    FAITH FOR HEALING

I suffer from a seriousand supposedly incurableeye problem, yet I considerthat I have faith for heal-

ing. I have faith that theLord is going to heal my

    eyes in thislife, because

    Hes givenme Hispersonal

promise thatHe wouldand I believeHim. Faithis a gift from

God thatcomes fromhearing theWord of God

    (Ephesians 2:8; Romans

10:17), and Ive heard theWord and believe it. I dontknow when my healing

will happen, because theLord hasnt told me that, but I have no doubt thatHe will do it sooner or

later. If He doesnt want toheal me right now, thenHes not going to give me

the gift of faith for immedi-

    Its not just a

    question of having

    faith for healing; its

    a question of having

    faith to accept the

    Lords design for

    your life.

As Victor would find out later, thehigh winds had caused an avalanchat the top of a nearby peak and sentmountain of snow down on the cus-toms complex.

Victor managed to pry himself freefrom the rubble, found his way out othe collapsed building, and carefullydug his way up through the snow tillreached the surface. Other buildingshad also collapsed under the weightthe snow, killing or trapping most of others.

Moving quickly through the build-ings that hadnt been completely

buried, Victor found a few othersurvivors. One was his good friend,

VICTOR WAS A CARABINERO, or policeofficer, stationed at the remote Chileancustoms compound known as LosLibertadores, high in the Andes on theborder with Argentina. Since Victor hadreceived special training in mountainrescue work, he was usually assignedto dangerous areas like this one. Heenjoyed the mountains, but missed hisfamily.

It was July 3rdthe heart of winterin the southern hemisphereand asnowstorm raged outside. With windsof 100 kilometers (over 60 miles) perhour and the temperature at 15C(5F) before the windchill factor, Victorand the 57 other people in the campwere bunkered in for the night.

Suddenly, Victor heard a deeprumbling and instinctively looked at his

watch. It was 8:38 PM. Since small trem-ors are common in that part of Chile,Victor didnt think much of it at first, butthe shaking grew stronger. Then thelights went out.

Seconds later, the roof collapsedand Victor found himself trappedbetween a wall and large piece offurniture. The temperature around him

dug through the wreckage until hefound the baby daughter of anothercolleague who had been killed. Thechild was wearing only a diaper and aT-shirt, but was otherwise unharmed.Victor quickly put her inside his warmpolice coat, where she could receivewarmth from his chest.

With no heat and almost no shelter, unless help came soon, the survivorswould all freeze to death. Before theavalanche, the camps only meansof communication with the rest of theworld had been a two-way radio, andnow it was damaged beyond repair.Victor quickly realized that it might bedays before anyone else would evenknow of their predicament. Their onlyhope was for someone to walk to the

nearest neighbor, a ski lodge abouttwo kilometers away, and organize arescue.

Walking two kilometers throughsnow is normally about as difficult forVictor as walking across the room, butunder these circumstancesthrough astorm and huge snowdrifts, in the dark, and carrying a babyit meant almostcertain death. Victor asked for volun-teers to go with him. No one cameforward, so he set off alone, carryingthe baby under his coat.

He managed to find some snow-shoes, which helped him stay on topof the deep snow banks, but the highwinds whipped up the fallen snow untilit seemed like a blizzard. Most of the

time Victor couldnt see more than onestep ahead. He knew the general direc-tion of the lodge when he set out, but

in the dark and with near-zero visibility,he also knew there was a very goodchance that he could walk right past itwithout even knowing.

Eight hours later, Victor stumbledinto the lodge, exhausted.

After turning the child over to others, and then getting a hot shower and aquick meal, he was ready to lead one

of the three rescue teams that went fother survivors. Victor risked his lifetwice, but 31 people were saved as aresult.

As I listened to Victor tell his storysome months later, one important

detail was missing. I asked about it,but Victor kept evading the question

The next day Victors wife showedme her scrapbook of newspaper clippings about the avalanche and howVictor received a heros commendatfrom the president of Chile. I combedthe articles for the answer to my quetion, but not one explained how Victohad managed to find the lodge in ablizzard and near total darkness.

At last I persuaded Victors wifeto reveal his secret. He doesnt talkabout this, she explained, because

he thinks people will say hes crazy. She paused for a momentprobablywondering if I would say the samethen continued.

As Victor was walking through theblizzard, a bright light appeared off toone side, almost like a streetlight. Buas Victor trudged through the deepsnow, it moved with him and it lit theway, more like a spotlight than a strelight. The light led Victor straight tothe lodge. Many times along the wayVictor sank so deep into snowdriftsthat he couldnt free himself, but eactime he felt someone grab him from

behind, pull him up, and set him on hway again.

And theres one more thing. The

light that guided him was no ordinarylight. When Victor looked directly intoit, instead of radiating from some sorof bulb as he expected, the light was

    coming from Jesus face.

TWO YEARS AGO, Nivo, one ofour neighbors here in Mada-gascar, started suffering excru-

ciating pains in her back. Localdoctors prescribed heavier andheavier doses of painkillersafter vaguely diagnosing some

problem in her back. Whenwe took her for a thoroughcheckup in one of the citysbest hospitals, she was finally

    properly diagnosed: advancedbone cancer!

The head doctor recom-mended that Nivo start

radiotherapy treatment imme-diately. Even with that, heonly gave her a few months tolive. But Nivo told the doctor

that she believed her life wasin Gods handsthat He had

All things work togetherfor good to those who loveGodin their situation.

In each and every casewhere they trust the Lordand hang on and dont give

up, it bears good fruit intheir lives through the les-sons they learn.

Who really has the mostfaith? The person who

is instantly healed of anaffliction, or someone whohas to bear that afflic-tion and still carries on

    loving and trusting the

Lord even though theymay not understand whythey havent been healed?

They both have faith, butthe one who has had tosuffer long-term afflictionhas had to have enduring

faithnot necessarily forhealing, but faith to trustthe Lord day by day to take

care of them and bringthem through.

    IN GODS TIME

    Sometimes the Lord

may not heal you rightaway because He knowsyoure more useful or moreyielded or more open to

His lessons when youhave an affliction. If theLord isnt ready to heal

you, then how can youhave faith for healing? IfHe intends your infirmity

to be long-term, if Hesmade you that way andwants you to stay that way, should you be condemnedbecause you dont get

healed? No, because underthose circumstances, theLord doesnt wantyou tohave faith for it. Faith is a

gift of God, and Hes not

going to give you the faithfor yourhealing until

Hes ready toheal you. Ina case likethat, what

He wantsto give youis faith to

endure it,faith topraise and thank Him forit, and faith to be a goodtestimony to others in your

affliction. Then, when Hesready to heal you, Hellgive you the faith for that.

    Sometimes people dont

have faith to be healedbecause its not the Lord

time, but other timesits because theyre notimmersed in Gods Word

theyre not claiming Hispromises in the Word ormeeting His conditions.Without taking in andobeying the Word, its

impossible to have faithfor healing or anythingelse.

    But if youre doing yo

    part and the Lord doesn

choose to heal you, youshouldnt feel condemnPerhaps you areweak in

faith for healing, but thacan be remedied througthe Word. Or perhaps itnot yet the Lords time t

heal you because thereare things He wants toteach you first. Or perha

He wants to use you asan example of someonewho is very strong in faithat Hes going to help

carry through the difficutimes, because He knowyoull remain cheerfuland positive, come wha

may. Whatever the case, real faith is doing what

the Lord tells you to do fyour situation and trust

ing that He knows best, whether you get healed not.

ONE THING THAT CAN MAKE YOUR PHYSICAL AFFLICTIONS EASIER to bear is

knowing that you can go to the Lord and receive His personal, spe-

cific, Heaven-sent words of love and encouragement. Its a marvelous

comfort and relief to be able to hear from the Lord in prophecy. You

dont have to be in the dark about what the Lord is doing in your life,

or be plagued by unanswered questions, or under a cloud of condem-

nation sent by the Devil. You can pour out your heart to the Lord and

receive His help in the form of personal messages that will be exactly

what you need at the time.

He can show you why, in His love, He has allowed you to be afflicted,

as well as what He wants you to do about ithow to go about secur-

ing His healing. Faith comes by hearing the Word, and that is true no

only of His recorded Word, the Bible, but also the words of specific

encouragement, instruction, and guidance that your loving Shepherd

can give you personally through prophecy.

Take your heartaches, burdens, and questions to Him. Hes eager

to speak to you. He wants to lighten your burdens and make your

afflictions easier to bear. He loves you and He will never suffer you to

be tempted beyond what you are able to bear, but will always make a

way to escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). That way of escape often comes

through His personal words of comfort and love and encouragement

that will lift you over the storm and bring you to the light of a brighte

    day.

Sometimes one message from Jesus is all it takes, but if youre fightin

a serious or long-term illness, youll want to go back to the Lord often

for any further instruction or encouragement He may have for you,

because circumstances and conditions change. And if you ever have

questions about the words, promises, or explanations He gives, justask Him about them. He never grows weary of answering your ques-

tions. He delights in making it as easy as possible for you, because He

loves you so. Let Him bear your burdens, ease your pain, and lighten

your load by letting Him speak to your heart through prophecy.

NSIS IWHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT THEANTICHRIST, the future world dic-tator whose coming is foretoldin the Bible? Is he living now?

Probably. And what about hisnew world order? Is the Anti-christ already working behindthe scenes to bring about hisplan for world economic andpolitical domination? It seemsso.

    From all indications, the

Antichrists satanic, technology-based system is already beingset in placesatanic in that

the Antichrist will be Satan-pos-sessed (Daniel 8:24; 2 Thessa-lonians 2:9; Revelation 13:24;12:9), and technology basedin that he will use technologyto achieve and enforce his neartotal control of the world andits people. A key Bible pas-sage about this is Revelation13:1617:

He [the Antichrists right-hand man, the False Prophet]

causes all, both small and great,

rich and poor, free and slave, to

receive a mark on [or in] theirright hand or on [in] their fore-heads, and that no one may buy

or sell except one who has the

mark or the name of the beast,

or the number of his name.

He works through othersmostly unwitting accompliceswho are helping to further hisagenda by developing and m

keting the technology, includsome of the worlds brightestminds and biggest financialpowers. A scripture that goesalong with that point is Danie

11:21b KJV:He shall come in peaceabl

and obtain the kingdom by fla

    teries.

Some versions of the Bibletranslate this as seize the

kingdom by intrigueby secscheming or plotting. Eitherway, it sounds as though theAntichrist is going to rise topower through cunning salesmanship rather than solelythe strong-arm tactics that thleaders of most past empires

    depended on.Through the various forms

of mass media, the Antichristis doing everything he can toconvince the world that thesenew technologies are beneficand necessary. What he is nosaying, of course, is that he weventually use them to suit hievil purposes. Consider thesedevelopments.

Imagine what the apostleJohn must have thought when,in about 90 AD, he saw a visionof this taking place in a futur-

istic world. People ever sincehave been baffled as to howany such universal, totalitar-ian economic system couldbe established or policed. But

now the age of technology hasarrived. With electronic com-merce rapidly replacing cashand virtually everything that isbought and sold being identi-fied and tracked by bar codes

and other means, it is no longerinconceivable that the financialtransactions of everyone in theworld could one day be moni-tored by a centralized agency.

Most of the technologyalready exists, but before theAntichrists plan can work, it

needs to be more powerfuland widespread. It stands toreason, then, that the Antichristwould get behind research anddevelopment in such fields asmicrochip technology, biotech-nology, and the Internet.

Also, the technology is notenough in itself. The Antichristalso needs to sell the world onit. It appears that he is busy atthat, too, and he is not alone.

    HTTSURVEILLANCE

    TECHNOLOGIES

Video cameras now moni-tor and record our faces andmovements in many stores andpublic places. We have learnedto accept this intrusion into our

lives because of the benefits:It discourages crime and helpsapprehend criminals. Likewise, the monitoring of Internet com-munications helps curtail childpornographers, terrorists, andother threats to our common

    good.As electronic databases

    replace filing cabinets, more

and more data about us isbeing collected, stored, cross-referenced, and shared. Nowthat nearly everything we doleaves behind a data trail, combining information fromdifferent sources can re-createa persons activities with aston-ishing accuracy and detail. Thisreservoir of personal informationis especially helpful to mar-

keters, and it is big business.Financial privacy has becomea thing of the past, as financialinstitutions and others nowroutinely put the details of theirclients lives up for sale.

Other data-gathering tech-nologies help complete themosaic of information that canbe collected on individuals. For example, computerized

black boxes are being builtinto cars, and location-trackingchips into cell phones and otherelectronic devicesinnovations

that consumers are being toldare for their own good. Similarly, microchips are being implantedunder the skin of pets for ID andtracking purposes, and pilot

programs are already beingdone for Alzheimers patientsand children.

    BIOMETRICS

Biometrics is the technologyof collecting, processing, and

storing details of a personsphysical characteristics throughsuch means as fingerprinting, thumb scans, retina scans, hand geometry, face recogni-tion, voice recognition, anddigital macrophotography.Biometric identification hascaught the interest of both gov-ernments and the commercialsector because it is far more

foolproof than more primitiveforms of ID, such as photo IDcards or signatures.

    CASHLESS COMMERCE

The shift from cash to elec-tronic commerce helps curtaildrug trafficking, counterfeit-ing, and theft, not to mentionthe greater convenience and

security that electronic com-merce affords. So-called smartcards now contain microchipsthat store not only the ownersfinancial information, but also

medical records and other per-sonal information. The logicalnext step would be to eliminatethe plastic card and embed thechip directly into the owner, sayon their right hand or on their

    foreheads.

    GLOBAL NETWORKING

As amazing as these newtechnologies are, the Antichristwill not be able to fully setup his new world order untilits all pulled together into anintegrated network with uni-

versal standardsan obstaclethat mightnotbe an obstaclemuch longer. Governments anindustry are setting internation

standards and expanding theelectronic networking by sharing information, services, and

technology. As more countrieturn to the latest technology tohelp solve their particular socand economic problems, theyexpand the networks reach acapabilities. The level of technlogical development now variegreatly from nation to nation, but the whole system couldbe online in a relatively shortime.

Proponents of these newtechnologies and cooperativeefforts always point out thepositive aspects, such as convenience, security, lower costand improved quality, speed, and efficiency in the deliveryof goods and services. Little issaid about the negative aspec

of this public intrusion into whwere once private personal

affairs. Under the banner of scence and technology, and morecently the war against terroism, the governments of theworld are rushing to completethe Antichrists economic andpolitical system for himthevery system the Bible warnsagainst.

Dont be duped into followithis false messiah or receivinghis mark! Follow the true Messiah, Jesus Christ. Then youlbe on the right side, the winniside, when Jesus returns to p

a stop to the Antichrists wickeness and set things right (Rev

    elation 14:911; 19:1121).
