We  cultivate  musical  excellence  and  a  spirit  of  cooperation  in  young  musicians  throughout  

California's  Central  Valley.  We  are  committed  to  the  principles  of  access  and  excellence,  and  strive  for  comprehensive   inclusiveness.

Youth  Music  Extravaganzas

• Extravagachi Mariachi  (commissioned   Benjamin  Boone  to  write  piece   for  assembled   orchestras,  high  school  mariachi  band,  and  dancer—with   audience  participation  and  outreach  to  elementary   schools:  Fresno  sin  Frenos:  Mariachi  Madness)

• JOY  Project  (commissioned   Kenneth  Froelich to  write  a  piece  for  assembled   orchestras  based  on  Ode  to  Joy,  assembled   JOY  Chorale   and  soloists,  performed   Beethoven  Nine  and  Froelich’s A  Beautiful  Spark)

• Water,  Water,  Everywhere  (commissioned   Benjamin  Boone  to  write  for  assembled   orchestras  again—this  time  he  included  water  as  instrument,  plus  late  poet  Philip  Levine   reading  his  own  words  about  water:  Water[less]  Music)
