the rooftop auditorium contains concrete seating area and metal walls that is coded with yellow paint which gives a cheerful touch to the space. the space of the rooftop is all open without roof which is not acoustically efficient for people to hear. Another fact with the wall is that it is slanted that is open towards the sky and has an overhang at the front. The shape of the space is open fan that is efficient for viewing the stage.

our team is proposing an enclosed space with stepped wood panel roof for acoustics that are hang from the truss. we chose wood that is reflective which used for the ceiling and part of the wall. Towards the back of the auditorium wall will be covered with an absorptive material that will absorb the sound. the stage is right under the overhang with an opaque glass that encloses the stage but leaves the space open for access to the stairs. the slanted walls are kept the way it was and it transits to straight wall for reflecting the sound. The exterior geometry of the auditorium is an enclosed box. proposEd MatErials
