The Challenge

Why the LRC?

1. Libraries are community cornerstones, connecting people to one another through shared experiences.

2. Libraries are an environment of mutual respect, enhancing a socially responsible citizenry.

3. Librarians provide the highest level of service to all patrons, facilitating a welcoming and supportive learning environment.

– Visits have increased 92% since the 2012/2013 fiscal year

• Tutoring

– Requests have increased 252% while hours of tutoring have increased 794% since the 2012/2013 fiscal year

• In a recent survey, students reported:

– 55% visit the LRC at least weekly

– 41% use campus computers for homework (the highest among services offered in the LRC)
