What is Achievement Fair? What is Clay County Achievement Fair? The Clay County Achievement Fair is a mini fair for human scienc-
es exhibits as well as for the communications and clothing exhib-its.
Why Achievement Fair? Because the Clay County Fair is held when 4-Hers are in school,
this combined Fair provides an opportunity for 4-Hers to bring their exhibits to be conference judged.
Achievement Fair also allows exhibits to be chosen for exhibition at the Iowa State Fair as well as the communications and clothing exhibits for the Clay County District Fair.
Who Participates in Achievement Fair?
Humans Sciences: All 4-Hers who exhibit in Ag & Natural Re-
sources; Creative Arts; Family & Consumer Sciences; Personal Development; STEM; and Pets may participate. 4-Hers may bring more than one exhibit for each project area but the exhibits must show different techniques and have different goals.
Communications: ALL 4-Hers may present a communications exhibit which can be created from any project area.
Clothing: A clothing exhibit can also be accomplished by any 4-
Her who is interested in sewing or in purchasing that perfect outfit.
Helpful tips and information in regards to these project areas may be found on the Iowa 4-H website. This link may be found on the Clay Co. Extension website within the Clay County Fair pages.
