FAQ Accordion Macro Guide

1 Introduction

The FAQ Accordion Macro is a simple device that can used to include a

animated accordion in a standard page that will display a list of questions that if

clicked on will display an answer to the question.

To create a FAQ Accordion, a collection of Question and Answer documents

must be created first.

2 Create a FAQ resource

• In the content section, Right

Click the home page and Left

Click Create

• Complete the FAQ name and

select the Faq document type,

Click Create

2.1 Hide from site navigation and publish

• Select the newly created

document

• Select the Properties tab

• Set the Hide in Navigation

Check box

• Click the Save and publish

2.2 Add Questions and Answers

• Right Click on the New FAQ

page, and Left Click Create

• Complete a brief name for the

Question and Answer entry,

select Faq Question, Click

Create






• Enter your question and answer using the page tabs and editor

• Publish the page.

Note: To refresh the list of questions under the FAQ page, Right click the FAQ

page and select “Reload Nodes”

3 Adding a FAQ Accordion to a text page

• Create or Edit a Text page

• Enter headings and any text

that will appear above the FAQ

• Position the cursor in the editor

at the start of the line where

you would like the FAQ

Accordion to appear

• Click the Insert Marco button

on the tool bar

• Select “EC FAQ Macro”

3.1 FAQ Macro Settings

• Enter a title for the FAQ

• Check the Animate control.

This will animate the display of

the answer of a selected

question. If not checked all the

questions and answers will be

displayed on the page.






• Click Choose to select the

FAQ Resource page, Click OK

to add the page

4 Publish and View the page
