Installation of The Chancellor

As already announced (http://www.bath.ac.uk/news/2013/10/15/open-house/),  all staff and students are invited to attend the Open House event which will be held in the Sports Training Village between 12:30pm and 4pm. This will include hands-on exhibitions of our latest research, performances by a range of student societies, sports demonstrations and taster events.  It has been carefully planned to try to ensure there is something of interest to all staff and students. Further details and timings can be found at http://www.bath.ac.uk/about/chancellor/open-house/index.html.  The remaining timings will be published there shortly.

At around 3:30pm the Chancellor and the Countess of Wessex will tour The Chancellors' building and take part in a ceremony to mark its official opening, unveiling a plaque to mark the occasion. Several staff have already asked how they should address the Earl and Countess – ‘Chancellor’ would be appropriate for the Earl and ‘Your Royal Highness’ for the Countess. On behalf of the Installation steering group, I do encourage you all to take this opportunity to celebrate our University with friends and colleagues and to welcome our new Chancellor to Bath.
