What is hCare?

hCare is the branded name for HCA’s Electronic Health Record

(EHR) initiative. HCA believes hCare will advance the practice of

medicine as technology matures and providers adapt it to their new

way of life. hCare is a top-to-bottom electronic record of patient

health information generated by encounters in any care delivery

setting. Once stored, the patient’s record becomes available to

authorized healthcare providers who can access patient information

from a secure, cloud-based system from a number of different

entry methods including hospital computers and personal mobile

devices (iPads, iPhones, Blackberries, laptops and others).

Providing you with training and educational resources to support

your knowledge base is a key component for the successful

implementation of Advanced Clinicals with CPOE.

The intended audience for this guide are the HCA professionals

that need to remotely access clinical systems from an iPad device.

This Citrix Receiver Installation Guide is designed to walk you through the process of locating/installing the Citrix Receiver application and accessing the hCare portal remotely from your iPad. Launch the App Store, Type in Search field “Citrix Receiver”, Tap enter. Select the Citrix Receiver app.

Locate Receiver icon on your iPad Home Screen, Single Tap to Open.

Select the Accounts icon shown above, Tap (+) plus sign and then tap Add Account.

If keyboard autofills, as seen above, minimize until "options" icon is visible in bottom left corner

3. Select the Options icon shown lower left of popup screen. Next, TapManual Setup button.

1. Copy from the attached list of divisions (page 14) the address ofyour division.

2. Then, Paste the Division Address into the Address URL field foraccessing the desired connection.

4. Select Save

1. At the top of the screen tap the Description field.2. Next, Paste/Enter the VDI Description Name

found on the attached list of divisions (page 14).3. Locate the Web Interface field.4. Then Tap the Web Interface field which places a

check mark within the selection box.5. Now Tap Save.

The Citrix Receiver automatically launches the hCare access site.Next, Login to your hCare access. Click Log On.

Congratulations!You now have remote access to your facility-based systems.

Subsequent logins can be accessed by launching the Citrix Receiver app and tapping the Accounts icon then selecting the

account created or desired.
