  • Navigating the Site To return to the Home Page from any page on this site, click on the Access Engineering logo in the upper left corner. Content can be browsed two ways via topically or alphabetically from the home page. To browse by topic, select from among the 9 high-level topics on the home page, and a list of all topics within that area of study will be presented. Selecting one of these topics will display a page with links to all the titles in that topic available within the sites extensive collection. The alphabetical (A-Z) browse functionality is available both on the Home page as well as at the top of all internal pages. Click on any letter to see a list of all topics covered on the site. Click on a topic and youll receive a page with links to all the information on that topic available on the site.

When you wish to send the article you have subscribed to, to a friend, you can use the email to friend facility available in the DX Reader. How can I view the Article in the PDF format?   • Display and Recommended Browsers

    Q: Which browser should I use? A: The interface supports all standards-compliant browsers, such as Internet Explorer 7, Safari, or Firefox 2. Users of older browsers may find some pages that deviate from the optimized design. However, we have developed the site to retain functionality with these browsers as much as possible, and we will work with subscribers that have not yet upgraded their browsers to resolve any problems they might experience.

    Viewing Chapters in PDF

    Q: How do I view my chapters in PDF?

    A: To view your chapter, click on the Adobe Acrobat PDF icon next to the chapter listed on the table of contents page. This will launch a new browser window prompting you to open or download and ebx.etd file. This file is your digital chapter that will load Adobe Digital Editions. If you do not have Adobe Ditgital Editions, you must download it to view your chapter. Viewing PDFs can only be opened with Adobe Digital Editions. Get it here: http://www.adobe.com/products/digitaleditions/ If you have Adobe Digital Editions installed, then opening the ebx.etb file (after clicking on PDF in the table of contents) will load your chapter.

  • Printing

    Q: How do I print a chapter? A: To print a chapter from within Adobe Digital Editions, simply click the printer icon or print option from you menu and print to your printer - formatted for printing on 8.5" x 11" (216 x 279 mm) paper. , Illustrations and/or tables are included, however, The exact layout of the larger tables and illustrations depends to some extent on your printer set up, so some of them may not print exactly as you see them on the screen. Printing from within the DX Reader Once your browser has loaded the chapter, click the printer icon and two options will appear; 1) Print Page and 2) Print Chapter. Make your selection and click print.
