Dear Parents/Carers, Welcome to our June Edition of the John Perryn Newsletter. I am sure you agree that the year so far has been a very busy and successful one for us all in the John Perryn Community. I would like to thank in particular all staff members and the PTFA for the wonderful support and donation that made the celebrations on the 10th of June - to commemorate 85 years since the opening of John Perryn and the Queen’s 90th birhtday - all that they were. I hope you all agree that the street party, concert, art gallery, the attendance of the Mayor, our local MP and the commemorative mugs received by all pupils, ensured the children had a day they will never forget. Please make sure you are checking the diary for all the events that are up and coming for the rest of this term. I hope you can join us for our Summer Fair tomorrow. Branwen Hywel (Head Teacher)

School Meal Debts
As of September 2016, any child with two weeks of debt with Harrison School Meals will not be able to eat. Please ensure that your child’s account is not in debt to avoid any problems with lunches. Please pay via Ealingmeals.co.uk or call 02082800312.
Vomiting & Diarrhoea
Please note that if your child has diarrhoea or vomited in the night, morning or the night before school, they must stay at home for 48 hours. We want to avoid spreading viruses in the school and appreciate your cooperation. Thank you!
Changes to the John Perryn Telephone
When you phone the School Office, we now have new options. Please make sure you select the correct
number to be connected to the relevent member of staff:
0. Main Office 1. Absence/attendance 2. Premises/Site Manager 3. Finance Office
Thank you for your consideration.
MEDICINE NOTICE
Please ensure that no medicine or tablets are to be put in children’s school bags. All medication including asthma pumps must be registered at the School Office. Thank you.
PUNCTUALITY / LATENESS
Children must be in the playground at 8.50am every morning. We understand the problems on the surrounding roads but children are missing valuable learning and we ask
if you can please try to get here on time.
Thank you very much.
Water Bottles Notice
Please make sure that water bottles and packed lunches are taken home at the end
of the day and cleaned. Children are drinking from water bottles that have been left for days, and this increases the chances of germs and stomach bugs. At the end of the day please ensure your child has their
water bottle – thank you!

School News
Year 1 Trip to Kew Gardens
Year 1 spent a wonderful sunny day at beautiful Kew Gardens. We looked for the tallest and smelliest plant on earth, but couldn’t find it. Later we became plant hunters and collected lots of evidence which helped
us find out about different trees.
Queen’s Birthday & John Perryn’s Anniversary Celebration
Thank you to all who joined us for our John Perryn’s 85th Aniversary and HM Queen Elizabeth’s 90th
Birthday. The event was a great success and we were delighted to welcome such a great group of people; parents, carers and our school community. Cllr Dr
Patricia Walker, Ealing Mayor, opened the Art Gallery event as well as highlighted the values that John Perryn
is bringing to the community.
