Financial Aid & Scholarships More than 78 percent of our students receive financial aid awards averaging approximately $10,700 per year. Of those students, 57 percent are funded entirely through grants and never have to pay a single penny for tuition.
No one knows more about the cost of going to college than the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships.

Tuition & Fees*: FULL-TIME ENROLLMENT (BASED ON 12 UNITS)
Nonresident tuition fees are $396 per unit and $198 per 1/2 unit. Nonresident tuition is charged in addition to fees listed above for residents and applies to all nonresidents of California, including international (visa) students.

All CSU listed fees should be regarded as estimates that are subject to change upon approval by the CSU Board of Trustees. CSUSB is a WICHE/ WUE School for qualified students. Eligibility may affect tuition.

Submit an application online between October 1 and November 30 at: calstate.edu/apply
1. Watch for an application acknowledgment email to your personal email to let you know we have received your application, which includes your Coyote ID number and CSUSB email account information.
2. Activate your MyCoyote account to view your application status online and determine if there are any other documents you need to turn in.
3. Review your CSUSB email, which will be available in your MyCoyote portal, for updates regarding required materials and your admission status. All communications regarding your application will be sent to your CSUSB email.
Email is an official means of communication at CSUSB. Check your CSUSB email frequently and MyCoyote portal. Students are responsible for admissions information provided via their CSUSB email account.

Admission Requirements CSUSB accepts applications from first-year freshmen and upper-division transfer students from across California and around the world. As an impacted campus, CSUSB is dedicated to serving students from high schools and community colleges from CSUSB’s defined local area. To ensure we can accommodate as many eligible students as possible, all applicants must meet CSU requirements to be considered, and additional CSUSB requirements based on the last school an applicant attended or their intended major. Students can apply to CSUSB for programs at the campus in San Bernardino or Palm Desert Campus.
