Abstract Information
Workshops will be scheduled for 45 minutes in duration, and Short Courses are a minimum of 90 minutes, maximum of 3 hours, including time for questions and answers. When submitting your abstract(s), please note the following guidelines:
• A Workshop typically presents a case history, a project experience, and/or specific tips or
techniques used (or learned) during a project implementation – for example, 'how I used one or more Emerson products/services or a complementary vendors’ product/service (HyTork actuators, radar gauges, AMS, InTools, Syncade, Pepperl+Fuchs with DeltaV, Blending Package, Inspect, etc.) to solve a problem or improve my process'.
• A Short Course provides organized instruction on a particular technology, application, project
tool, or methodology – for example: Fieldbus, Valve Sizing, SIS, System Life Planning. These are often taught by Emerson or process industry "experts" and/or Emerson's Educational Services instructors.
