I can easily say that the city and the university have met all of my expectations so far. It is a small city with cultural and historical heritage, people

APPLICATION PROCESSUndergraduate students can apply to the University of Chester in two ways:

1. Through the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS): Applications can be made using the ‘Apply’ link on the UCAS website – www.ucas.com. The UCAS institutional code name for the University of Chester is CHSTR and the code is C55. You are able to make your application any time between 1 September and 30 June.

2. Direct Application: The application form is available on our website www.chester.ac.uk/international. Once you have selected your course of study, complete the application form and send it along with all supporting documents to [email protected]

Taught Postgraduate (Masters) students must complete an application form which is available on our website at www.chester.ac.uk/international and send the completed form along with all your supporting documents to [email protected]

Postgraduate Research (MRes, MPhil and PhD) students should contact the Graduate School on [email protected] for enquiries and application form.

ENGLISH LANGUAGEUndergraduate: IELTS 6.0 (with no element below 5.5) Postgraduate: IELTS 6.5 (with no element below 5.5) Pre-sessional programs: For undergraduate studies, you will need to have IELTS minimum 5.0. For postgraduate studies, you will need to have minimum IELTS 5.5. OR any other equivalent English Language test approved by the UK Home Offi ce such as Pearson Academic (PTE), City and Guilds.Please contact the International Offi ce for further details.

ACCOMMODATIONThe University ensures accommodation is guaranteed for all new international students whose accommodation applications forms are received by the stated deadlines for our September intake. Whilst Chester off ers en-suite single rooms, Warrington’s accommodation is confi ned to single standard rooms, where bathroom and kitchen facilities are shared. You will live on campus or locally within short distance to the campus. Accommodation costs range from £75-£135 per week (2014) depending on individual student requirements. Accommodation can be fully catered, semi-catered or self-catered, and is provided for 41 weeks. Both Chester and Warrington off er self-catered residences. The cost covers all utility bills including internet access.

Our student accommodation is safe and secure with 24 hour security and CCTV in operation. To secure your accommodation space, you will need to make a payment of £250. This is the accommodation bond fee and is refundable at the end of your stay provided you have not damaged any of the University’s property.
