ABOUT THE ORPHANAGE
Good Shepherd Home: Every one is worth it
• The institution takes care of a total of 151 girls and boys• The age group ranges from 3 to 22 years• The children are being brought up in a decent way through the provision
of basic amenities • They all attend Schools or Colleges • They are present at 4 locations:
– Malavli - 14 children and 3 staff– Nasik- 48 children and 12 staff – Pune transit home- 40 children– Talegaon- 49 children
• Normal family environment with dedicated house/parents who see to their emotional, physical and personal well-being
• Wholesome, nutritious food is provided and a balanced and healthy diet is maintained. All meals are prepared by GSH’s own cooks on-site and distributed to each home
• 85% Of the children are educated in English-medium schools. No child is left wanting for books, educational materials, school supplies or special tuition.
• Hobbies and creative expression through dance, music, art and photography are actively pursued and encouraged

CONTRIBUTIONS MADE
• Relief at Uttarakhand via the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund• Contribution towards Drought Relief for Chief Minister’s Relief Fund• Contribution from employees of old clothes/toys/books etc. for Joy of Giving
Week celebrated on 2-8 Oct each year which would be distributed to the needy and poor
• Recruited 2 specially-abled Graduates during a special recruitment drive by E-Kansh Trust
• Celebrating World Environment Day every year and organizing a tree plantation drive
• Recruitments done from local ITI’s, Colleges, Schools to encourage youth in nearby areas to educate themselves

Infrastructure needs:
We have studied the infrastructure needs at Anand Gram and provide it to support them without going overboard
• Kitchen maintenance• Water purifier • Proper sanitation & Basic Hygiene facilities• Proper electrification and adequate lighting• Adequate and good/Water Facility• Any critical requirement

ANNUAL PICNIC WITH GSH KIDS
• The fun filled TGY Annual Picnic was held at Krushnai Water Park, Sinhagad Road on 27th Nov 2011
• Almost 270 employees were present for the picnic with their family members
• Kids and staff members from our beloved institution, Good Shepherd Home (GSH), were invited for the picnic
• The GSH Kids gave various solo and group performances• Various games and competitions were arranged at the venue and gifts
were distributed to winners and participants

SMALL CONTRIBUTION FOR SUPPORT
A small contribution from TGY at the annual conference (Goa) which was further used to support the kids’ education and basic needs
2010 - 2011
• Visited Talegaon and Malavli homes.
• The main motive was to interact with the children, assess their basic needs and try to ease them into the mainstream society
• The following activities were conducted in the visits made in June & August 2010: - Distribution of Sweets, Biscuits and fruits - Career counseling in terms of new education options, job options etc.- Personality development and personal grooming sessions

– Conducted more fun related activities such as picnics and popular movie screenings
– Painting competitions and skits at Ganesh Festival done on 12th
September 2010 at TGY Plant
– Involved GSH in festival celebrations at the plant

• Conducted a painting competition for the children of all ages
• 38 children participated for the same and had a blast
• They were free to draw whatever they wanted
• Prizes were distributed in our next visit
