The Knights, who went 13-0, became the first FBA team to finish a season without a loss since Florida State went 14-0 in 2013. UCF's 34-27 win against Auburn in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl improved AAC teams to 3-0 all- time in New Year's Six Bowls. Three teams- UCF, USF and Memphis- ranked in the final Associated Press and coaches' polls of the 2017 season. Houston DT Ed Oliver was chosen as the winner of the Outland Trophy as the nation's top interior lineman. The 2017 AAC Football Championship between Memphis and UCF was the most-viewed American Championship in league history.

In C-USA... Lane Kiffin's first season at FAU brought the school's first CUSA title and a Cheribundi Tart Cherry Boca Raton Bowl win to end with the second- longest win street in the FBS (10). CUSA had six individual leaders and three team leaders in national statistical categories in 2017. FAU running back Devin Singletary led the FBS in TDs (33), rushing TDs (32), total points scored (198), and scoring per game (14.1). Rice WR Aaron Cephus led in yards per reception (24.8). Charlot te DB Ben DeLuca led in forced fumbles. FAU led the FBS in interceptions (20). UTSA led in fewest first downs allowed (166) and FIU led the FBS in red zone

End of Season CONFERENCE STANDINGS

The fifth annual Cheribundi Tart Cherry Boca Raton Bowl will be played Tuesday, December 18 at FAU Stadium in Boca Raton, Fla.

ESPN Events, a subsidiary of ESPN, announced the creation of the Boca Raton Bowl in a six-year agreement beginning in 2015. The pre-Christmas bowl game features teams from the American Athletic Conference, Conference USA as well as the Mid-American Conference alternating each year. This year's match up will be between C-USA and the AAC.

The 2018 Boca Raton Bowl will be nationally televised on ESPN and carried on ESPN Radio including the local ESPN 106.3 station.
