Background

I commenced my IT career with studying a Diploma of Business Programming to fast-track into the market before the Y2K epidemic concluded. After the dot-com bust, I entered a career of project management with the determination to excel. Studying project management, I endeavored to become professionally qualified. Work on several large Australian Government IT projects delivered the necessary practical experience to perform and pass the examinations that professional qualified me as a project manager. However, the days of programming and web development still yearns to free and creative. I satisfy this craving with online freelancing in web designing and SEO consultancy.

After passing my PMP exam in January 2010, I started brainstorming ideas to better deliver project management products, services, and solutions. However, I didn’t want to stop with project management. As my career progresses into program management and portfolio management, I’ll progress my business into these managements. Hence the P3 acronym – Project, Program, and Portfolio Management. In addition to these knowledge areas, I’m focusing on providing consultancy services to the Brisbane market and freelancing online, including:

DEEWR’s IT Services Group (ITSG) integrated the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) as their set of practices for IT Service Management (ITSM). ITSG required a Project/Change Coordinator to build awareness of the ITIL maturity model and the ITSM’s need for all projects to submit their request for changes be submitted in advance to the requested change window. This built awareness at the Change Advisory Board meetings through the Forward Schedule of Change and ensured resources were made available across the ITSG.
