Thought
of the
Season
Design is not just what it
looks like or feels like.
Design is how it works.
- Steve Jobs
Flavour Of The
Month
The smoothness of milk
symbolic of the DIT sports
week which caught the
attention of the
sportspersons in the college,
the zest of 'Hindi Pakhwada'
which acknowledged the
latent talent of students,
blended with the sweetness
of 'Mata ki Chowki' which led
to a divine connection with
the Almighty , brewing like
the coffee beans with the
excitement of placements ,
soaked in the joy of the
festival of lights and fervour,
creamed with the enthusiasm
of ‘Dandiya Night’ , sprinkled
with the cocoa powdered trip
to IIT-Delhi and seasoned
with the hubbub over the
preparation of exams, this
steaming hot beverage
looked delicious and
tempting... But just before
you decide to take the sip, the
refreshing caramelized mania
of "Rockstar" left its absolute
imprint on our minds and
hearts. An enthralling season
equivalent to the amazing
beverage!

“Everyone else is responsible for all my miseries and failures, but not me”, is the thinking of majority of us. It is an escapist attitude which may reduce guilt feeling but does not solve any problem. It harms a lot. Blaming others is easy but it does not work most of the time. It will never improve your quality of life. Take responsibility, be honest in your efforts and see the results. Life will take a positive turn and things will improve significantly. A simple test of responsibility- have you planned your studies for this semester? Try to develop a plan – what you want to achieve and what you are doing for it. Is it sufficient? Think positive and be happy. Once you take charge of your life, hone your skills. Good companies make an inventory of skills their employees have, so that they know properly about their most valuable asset – the manpower. This is a great tool in the hands of middle and top management – they know their manpower better and can deploy them for best results. So, don’t lag behind; hone your skills and jump start your career. For promotion, you need to be better than others. On the Skill Inventory list– Where do you stand? “The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education.” -- Martin Luther King, Jr.

Media representatives from leading newspapers and TV channels covered the event. Handmade greeting cards, lanterns, chandeliers, and other such exquisite items were exhibited, which drew attention on account of their variety and novelty. The appreciable amount procured from the sales would be donated to an NGO for a noble cause.

Be honest, Be Responsible – it Pays Charity begins at home is an old proverb. Similarly, we can say honesty begins at home. Be honest to yourself and half of the general problems will simply disappear. Taking responsibility of our life is the first step in being honest to ourselves.

called ‘DakshKrit’ which is in collaboration with ‘Salix Pvt Ltd’. He is also heading the project as on ‘Use of Salix in Architecture’ for which he is also receiving a scholarship. He has also developed a website called ‘www.salixherbs.com’ (India’s first product-business website which includes social networking). Sanjeev Kumar (ME 2010 batch) attended IDD Summit in July 2011 at Ghana, South Africa, it was organized by MIT, Boston and other schools.
Inspiration It was March 2009 and to my utter surprise I detected that attendance of a student who used to be very responsible and sincere was not up to the mark. I had sent at least three Demi-Official letters congratulating her father for her 100 % attendance in the first, second and third years. Suddenly her attendance dipped to 69%.When I called her and counseled her, she clarified that her attendance had suffered due to her CAT exam preparation. When I asked her to give a written statement certifying that she would score at least 90 percentile in her CAT exam, she wrote that she would definitely score more than 99 percentile. I saw confidence, determination and humility on her face and I was assured that she would achieve it. When the result was out, I was delighted to know that she had come up to her expectations with a 99.8 percentile. She received calls from four IIMs but ultimately she joined IIM Indore and on passing out from there she joined TISCO as the Vice President at Bombay. She symbolizes the belief that responsibilities gravitate to the person who can shoulder them. The honored alumni is Ms. Ashita Mittal.
MCA Trip MCA final year students with Dr. Ritika (Head, MCA Dept.), Mr. Javed Alam, Mr. Deepak Sharma and Ms. Nirmala Mehta visited ONGC Computer Centre and Museum on 26th of August 2011. GEOPIC Computer Centre was of major interest and excitement to the students as it holds the 2nd largest processing unit after CDAC. So it was like a dream come true for the students to actually visit it. There they were divided into two batches of 60 students each and were taken to the Subiraha Golden Jubilee Museum and Computer centre simultaneously. The students were exposed to many recent technologies related to software and hardware.
