ARKS TEST AND RACE LICENCES In order to race in a National race series you must first obtain a competition licence. The licence issuing authority in the UAE is the ATCUAE (Automobile and Touring Club United Arab Emirates) which governs and regulates all Motorsport in the country. It is to them that you must apply for your licence.

AED 300 - Fee for ARKS Test using own kart / AED 400 - Fee for ARKS Test using Rental kart

Successfully completing the compulsory ARKS Test (and obtaining a medical examination and report from a qualified doctor) will enable you to qualify for your National race licence. This Test can be booked in advance at Al Ain Raceway.

The Test involves some basic instruction from your assigned examiner but, note:you are expected to have at least some background knowledge and experience of karting, safety and Motorsport rules. If you are new to the sport it is advisable to get some time behind the wheel in Arrive and Drive sessions and Open Race events beforehand.

The test covers all aspects of kart racing and takes the form of a multiple-choice questionnaire and an on-track demonstration of your abilities. When racing, you will need your own helmet, overalls, gloves and boots to the level demanded by the Sporting Regulations for the series but for your test we can supply the basic clothing as worn by our corporate racing customers.
