Spend up to 70% of your time in the cadaver lab developing and refining anterior and posterior surgical techniques for the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. Then, customize your learning and improve your surgical performance during 90 minutes of open lab time. You choose a surgical procedure you want to focus on under the direct tutelage of our renowned orthopaedic spine faculty. In addition to standard surgical procedures, learn practical skills relating to both basic and complex spinal deformity treatments, commonly used osteotomy and minimally invasive techniques. You will also review management techniques and ways to avoid complications. Didactic lectures, evidence-based updates and lively debates augment the skills lab experience.
