Roma Containers is a privately owned and operated business. Established in 1997, our company has been selling and producing shipping containers to numerous consumers and markets, offering both hire and purchase options. We have professional sales personnel who are complimented by a fully staffed team of highly qualified boilermaker tradesmen and apprentices. Roma containers and our staff take pride in producing and providing high quality products to reflect our customers’ needs. With comprehensive management and on-going training, our team is equipped for any job.

Over 16 years of industry experience has seen us develop significant knowledge, skills and capabilities enabling us to provide our customers with practical and cost effective solutions for their asset and facility services needs. We focus on delivering not only a product, but also a high quality service to all costumers.

4. Capabilities

Roma Containers offer a range of shipping containers that can be customized and modified to suit the genre of individual consumer needs. We provide our customers with the option to purchase or hire a wide range of standard, modified or custom-built and designed containers. Container sizes range from a convenient 6ft, through to 8,10,20, and a much larger 40ft.

4.1 Tier 1

Our highly qualified and experienced boilermakers are able to efficiently complete extensive tier 1 modifications to all types of containers including dangerous goods, office blocks, curtain sides, refrigerated, insulated, workshops, container shelters, flat racks and pipe racks. Certified sea-worthy cargo containers for export, are also a customer driven service we are delighted to provide for our clients.

4.2 Tier 2

Finer detail, tier 2 modifications include refurbishing, air conditioning, lights and power, PA doors, windows, sliding doors, cargo doors, gantry’s, shelving, work benches and stands, vents and whirly birds.

5. Location and delivery

Roma Containers main yard is based in Roma, which is a commercial, industrial and mining town in the heart of Australia’s major CSG operations. We have a second holding yard in Brisbane, which enables us to effectively deliver our products directly to key metropolitan, regional and remote areas. We are a community minded company employing seven local trucking companies to transport our containers to their destination. This not only supports our community but also allows us to deliver a very prompt and efficient service. Three outside trucking companies are also employed by Roma Containers to deliver container transport services to all other areas, where logistics do not allow local companies to compete. All of our valued transport services are highly efficient and competent operators, providing essential technical and finer detail qualifications, such as IVMS tracking, gas field site induction access, and trip sheet compliance. All containers are detailed to “weed free” status, and provide documentation to acknowledge this very important environmental factor.

We also offer a simple ‘one bill’ option giving our customers the option to have container/s and freight organised and combined into one invoice. The staff at Roma Containers pride themselves on being reliable to their customers ensuring delivery and arrival is within the allotted timeframe.

We have helped customers improve the functionality of their businesses due to the versatility of our products. With the ever growing popularity and adaptability of our container modifications, our customising team of designers and boilermakers relish every opportunity to create new and exciting facilities and comforts within our product.

Within the Western Downs & Maranoa region we are the only company that deals in container distribution, specialising in container modifications. Between our vigilant team we have a combined 71 years of experience, knowledge and skills allowing us to offer our clients the latest and greatest options. We believe that having a very large array of different styles of containers on hand is the key to maintaining buyer confidence for our customers. Between our main base in Roma and our holding yard in Brisbane, we boast a capacity of up to 300 containers to choose from at any time. Within our sales division, Roma Containers have the ability to utilise a very unique internal capacity to access new containers direct from abroad when supply is not sufficient. This is a yet another quality feature of Roma Containers which sets it above its competitors.

Roma Containers hold a very assuring financial and personal relationship with many warehouse port suppliers of containers along the entire eastern seaboard of Australia. Over time, these suppliers have grown to understand the importance of quality products we demand. Due to this understanding, we have in the past been confidently able to call on their good judgement to help supply quality products when supply is low, and when major contracts arise.
