    2 Scenario

    2.3 Position Rack

If the A7670 ESE is installed at same site as an RNC Ev, the rack must beinstalled close to the corresponding RNC Ev, just to the right or left of the RNCEv (due to cable length).

    2.4 Drill Holes

To be compliant with EN 60950 rules, the rack must be secured to the floor.

    There are two installation cases:

    Installation on concrete floor

    Installation on raised floor

2.4.1 Concrete Floor (C1)To drill the concrete floor:

    1. Mark the concrete foundation using the drilling diagram described in Figure 5.

    2. Drill the holes in the concrete foundation (diameter 12 mm, h = 70 mm).

2.7.1 Install E1 Cable Between A7670 ESE and DDF

    2.7.1.1 Connect E1 on A7670 ESE Side

The table below lists the supplies needed to connect the E1 to the A7670 ESE.

    Description Reference Kit

    3BK 26632 JL (40m)

    List of kits

    Tie wraps 1AD 00414 0006 Basic kit

To connect the E1 to the A7670 ESE:

    1. Insert both E1 cables with the connector into the cable passage.

    2. Using tie wraps, attach the cables to the cable passage (every meter).

    3. Remove the EMI covers, if installed, from the upper and lower connectors onthe back of A7670 ESE shelf where the board is installed. Store the covers. The upper connector corresponds to ports 1 to 16 on a 32-port board, andthe lower connector corresponds to ports 17 to 32. Refer to Figure 16.

    4. Align the first E1 cable with the connector with the upper connector for ports1 to 16 where the board is installed. Ensure that the connector and thecable are facing up. Push the connector into place. (Refer to Figure 17.)

    5. Label the first E1 cable with the labeling machine.

    6. Repeat steps 4 to 5 with the second E1 cable for the lower connector(ports 17 to 32).

    7. Attach E1 cables to the rear of the rack (tie wraps).

    8. Using the wiring table (refer to Table 1), connect the other end of the E1cable to the DDF (refer to E1 Connection on DDF Side(Section 2.7.1.2).

As with other installation cables, these E1 cables must be inserted in the same

site cable passage (either at the top of rack or in a raised floor).

    3. Attach the multifiber cable to the cable passage and to the equipment.

    4. Connect the optical fibers to the A7670 ESE, to the ODF and to the RNCEv ( refer to Figure 23).

    5. Label the fibers.

As with other installation cables, these cables must be inserted in the same sitecable passage (either at the top of the rack or in the raised floor). The single optical fibers must not be tied to the rack; the multifiber cablecan, however, be tied to the rack.
