Penetrates candles up to 110mm in diameterto hold them in place. Hard Up playully re-erences what can oten be associated withlighting candles in a home. The powder coatnish provides a durable surace to dealwith relatively high temperatures and is alsoscratch resistant which means it is easy to

Isokon Donkey

This compact 360 degree piece o urnitureis designed or a contemporary living space.It provides convenient storage or consoles,games, DVDs, magazines, remote controls,phones, keys and other miscellaneous items.

There is a spacer which is a structural supporton both sides which prevents smaller casesrom sliding too ar into the shell o the don-key making them dicult to retrieve but alsoacts as a mini secret shel or smaller items

like a set o keys. The height o the donkey isthe same as ordinary chairs so it can be usedas an additional seat or used simply as an ex-tra work surace. The slope is the optimal an-gle or a back rest i the user sits on the oorwhilst having easy access to all the compart-ments. The ofset compartment at the bot-tom is to accomodate various console acce-sories including handheld games.

Io Chair

In collaboration with Martino Gamper thisproject was about using parts o disused,broken chairs and breathing new lie intothem by creating new pieces o urniture. Thischair was made rom several others and isthe opposite o what the typical abandonedchair would look like. Its surace is highly pol-ished and reective like a new chair. Its namecomes rom Jupiters inner most satellite Iowhich resuraces itsel every century dueto volcanic activity and is thereore highly

reective. Io was exhibited at the Victoria &Albert Museum as part o the French Con-nection Friday Late - Home Sweet Home ex-hibition.

Corian Lectern

Corian was used to create a single orm tohold everything that is required to give apresentation joining the notes, accessoriesand speaker together all on a single plat-orm. For added condence the speaker hasa step to stand on which elevates the speak-er above an audience. The idea o the stepis inspired rom pulpits and alters rom tradi-tional churches but the single step is not asdominating as its predecessors.

Materials: Corian and Medium Density Fibre-board
