The French International School of Delhi (Lycée Français International de Delhi - LFID) is part of the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE), a network of 495 educational institutions in 137 countries. With 342 000 students, of which 60% are non-French, it is the most sizable educational network internationally.
The educational institutions which are part of this network allow students to receive an uninterrupted and seamless education worldwide. They carry and convey universal values such as tolerance, humanism, secularism, intellectual curiosity and promotion of critical mind.

The curriculum focuses on language literacy (French and English) and mathematics. In addition to these core subjects, students also study Experimental Sciences, History, Geography, Arts and Music, IT, Physical Education and Civic & Moral Education.

In Kindergarten (PS, MS and GS classes), our team of dedicated professors focus on the acquisition of language and its development, the discovery of the world of writing and of numbers, as well as learning to �live together�. In a friendly environment, stu-dents develop their creativity and self-confidence through numerous motor function and artistic activities.
KINDERGARTENBILINGUAL FRENCH/ENGLISH EDUCATION

SECONDARY SCHOOL AGE: 11-18
Our Secondary students follow the academic curriculum established by the French Ministry of Education, in preparation for the French National Examinations: the Diplôme National du Brevet (in 3ème, Grade 9*) the French Baccalaureate (in Terminale, Grade 12*)
The core subjects until Seconde (Grade 10*) include French Language & Literature, English Language & Literature, Sciences, Languages (Spanish, German, Hindi, Latin), Mathematics, History & Geography, Computer Science, Arts & Music and Physical Education.
During their final two years (Première and Terminale � Grades 11 and 12*) students prepare the baccalaureate exam and choose one of the following areas of speciali-sation: Language and Literature (L) Economic and Social Sciences (ES) Mathematics and Sciences (S)
LFID OFFERS SEVERAL LANGUAGE OPTIONS AS PART OF ITS CURRICULUM.
The Anglophone section - available from 6ème (Grade 6*) - and the European section - available from Seconde (Grade 10*) - involve extra classes in English of Literature, History & Geography. These options aim at developing students� language skills at a high level in French and English.

-AN EDUCATION SYSTEM OF FRENCH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE (FLE) IS PROPOSED TO NEW STUDENTS WHO DO NOT SPEAK FRENCH, FROM NURSERY TO SECONDARY SCHOOL. THIS PROGRAM ENABLES STUDENTS TO RAPIDLY REACH THE LEVEL IN FRENCH NEEDED TO SUCCESSFULLY CONTINUE AND COMPLETE THEIR EDUCATION AT LFID.
A SUCCESSFUL INTEGRATION OF NON-FRENCHSPEAKERS AT ALL LEVELS
THE FRENCH BACCALAUREATE, A DIPLOMA RECOGNIZED WORLDWIDE
The success rate of LFID students in 2016 at the baccalaureate exam was 92%. Of this class, 50% were non-native French speakers.
After obtaining the baccalaureate, most of our graduates choose to pursue their studies at universities in: France : Universities, Specialized Schools Europe : Spain, Belgium, Switzerland Canada : McGill, University of Montreal, HEC Montreal, Concordia
In some countries like the USA or Canada, the French baccalaureate provides an advanced placement, which can count up to two semesters.
Throughout the period from Secondary School up to Graduation, LFID provides gui-dance on colleges and career opportunities.
