Dear Friends, Johnson City invites you to join us for the 30th Annual Lights Spectacular Festival beginning November 29th, 2019 and lasting until January 5th, 2020. One of the highlights is our "Lighted Hooves and Wheels Parade," which has been scheduled for:
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 30TH, 2019 AT 6:30 PM
We extend to you a Big Hill Country Welcome to be a participant in this unique event. All entries must have LIGHTS or ILLUMINATION and to celebrate the season, a touch of holiday decorations. The lights do not have to be Christmas lights. We urge you to use your imagination and light your entry in a unique and original design. Parade participants will compete for TROPHIES in several categories, including Most Unique, Most Festive, Delightfully Christmas, Most Original Specialty Vehicle, and Best Animal Presentation.
Parade check-in will be in front of the Johnson City Library off N. Nugent, where you will be assigned your parade position. The parade will be lined up and judged on the road up to and in front of the LBJ High School. Please sign in no later then 4:00 pm. Judging will begin at 5:00 pm. We are asking that only float entries/ participants remain in the parking lot and additional vehicles enter only for the purposes of dropping people or supplies off. This will improve the congestion and to help ensure the safety of all involved.
****** The parade will NOT be canceled due to bad weather. ***** Please compete the enclosed entry form and submit by Friday, November 15th. We look forward to seeing you at the parade; however, if you cannot participate, we want to take this opportunity to wish you and yours:

** REMINDERS **
For the SAFETY of our visitors, we prohibit the THROWING of CANDY or other items. This poses a risk of children running in front of the floats in the dark. You may walk beside your entry and pass out candy or other suitable items.
Please do not include Santa Claus in your entry. The parade committee will have have Santa on a float and he will greet the children after the parade.
