Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world areclearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal

power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

A Sense of a Goose Length: 16-25 inches Wingspan: 50-68 inches

When you see geese flying along in "V"formation, you might consider whatscience has discovered as to why theyfly that way. As each bird flaps itswings, it creates an uplift for the birdimmediately following. By flying in "V"formation, the whole flock adds atleast 71 percent greater flying rangethan if each bird flew on its own.

Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, theream I in the midst of them.

Psalm 133:1 {A Song of degrees of David.} Behold, how good and how pleasantit is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

People who share a common directionand sense of community can get wherethey are going more quickly and easilybecause they are traveling on thethrust of one another.

When a goose falls out of formation, itsuddenly feels the drag and resistanceof trying to go it alone - and quicklygets back into formation to takeadvantage of the lifting power of thebird in front.

If we have as much sense as a goose,we will stay in formation with those

people who are headed the same waywe are.

When the head goose gets tired, itrotates back in the wing and anothergoose flies point.

It is sensible to take turns doingdemanding jobs, whether with people

    or with geese flying south.

The lead Goose never honks howeverGeese honk from behind to encourage

those up front to keep up their speed.

What messages do we give when we

    honk from behind?

Finally - and this is important - when

a goose gets sick or is wounded by

gunshot, and falls out of formation,

two other geese fall out with thatgoose and follow it down to lend help

and protection. They stay with the

fallen goose until it is able to fly or

until it dies, and only then do theylaunch out on their own, or with

another formation to catch up withtheir group.

Matthew 11: 2 Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, hesent two of his disciples,

Matthew 18:16 But if he will not hearthee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

Mark 6:7 And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two

    and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits;

Luke 10:1 After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sentthem two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himselfwould come.

2 Corinthians 13:1 This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of twoor three witnesses shall every word be established.

1 Timothy 5:19 Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two orthree witnesses. If we have the sense of a goose, we willstand by each other like that.

Tell story about old man picked up by a horse and taken home by ThomasJefferson.

If you take your eyes off your goals, all you see are obstacles.

Matthew 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and

with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.38 This is the first and great commandment.39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

    The Carpenters Tools(Author Unknown)

The carpenters tools held a conference. Those in the meetinginformed Mr. Hammer that he must leave because he was too noisy.

All right, I will leave, said brother Hammer, but if I go Mr. Screwmust leave also; you have to keep turning him around to get him to goanywhere.

Mr. Screw then said, If you wish, I will go, but Mr. Plane, too, must leave. All his work is on the surface. There is never any depth toit.

To this, Mr. Plane replied, Well, Ms. Rule will also have towithdraw. She is always measuring folks as though she were the onewho is right.

Ms. Rule complained against Mrs. Sandpaper, saying, I just dontcare. She is rougher than she ought to be and is always rubbing peoplethe wrong way.

In the midst of these discussions, the Carpenter of Nazarethwalked in. He put on His apron and went to make a pulpit. He used thehammer, saw, screw, sandpaper and all the other tools. When it wasfinished, Mr. Saw arose and said, Friends, I see we are all laborerstogether with God.

How many of us Christians are just like the tools? Everyaccusation was true, yet the Divine Carpenter uses everyone. Each hasa place of service that no other person can fill.
