I note that some of the schools have reduced their annual water consumption by over 10%. Do keep up the good work. Moreover, if each of us could share what we learn from “Cherish Water Campus” with our family and friends to inspire them to cherish water, it would be a big step forward in making Hong Kong a “cherish water” city. I will be retiring from “Cherish Water Campus” as Star Principal at the end of 2017. Looking back, I vividly remember the way principals, teachers and students assembled a huge “Cherish Water Campus” puzzle by raising large cards together at the Pledging Ceremony in January 2016, students‛ creative artworks and catchy slogans displayed on the Newsletters and the commendation awards presented at the Award Ceremony in November 2016 to all those who had attained exemplary achievements on the “Cherish Water Campus” programme during the 2015/16 school year. Star Principal’s message

Girl hurry! We must catch this train!!

No worries! It'shygienic for sure! With this design

we can save much water by using it

twice, first for hand washing, then fortoilet flushing!

You look puzzled after going to the toilet, what‛s up

darling? Umm…I‛m ok. I just couldn‛t find anywhere in the toilet to get myhand washed…

Oh I see… I just thought thatthe water wasn‛tclean enough forwashing hands…

That‛s my girl!should never

Hey! You twoneed to hurry up! Trains wait

for no one!

Um…by the way

have you washed your hands just now?

just kept Uh-oh, I

talking and I forgot… haha…

OH MY GOD…

Creepy Toilet Hey, did you not notice that water was coming out from

a tap above the cistern when

you flushed just now, so that

while refilling the cistern you could wash your hands! This "Water-Saving Toilet" can

commonly be found in Japan!

Right! There are two buttons. We should always flush with the small button when we go wee wee andthe large button when wego poo poo! Water can be saved easily by flushing with the right button!

We use water in everyday life, and wastage will be caused if

water is not used smartly. Now try to spot out the bad water

use habits in the picture.

Smart tips for water conservation:

While this type of toilet isnot that common in Hong Kong, wehave "Dual-flush Cistern" which

can also save water!

Answers (Circle the items below):

Do not thaw frozen meat with a running tap. Thawing should be done by placing frozen meat from freezer to refrigerator in advance.

Check plumbing regularly. Appoint a licensed plumber to fix immediately if any leakage is found.

Turn on your dishwasher with a full load or wash your dishes in a basin.!
